Continuing an idea I had while reading the previous thread. It's about why Jawn and Lisa stay together. I do think she loves him in whatever capacity she's capable. Probably a lot in part because he's her enabler, but partially because he does allow her to live the life she wants. She doesn't have to work, she doesn't have to be a true housewife, either. She is pretty much a lady of leisure with all the time in the world to spend hours on her hair and makeup, do her nails every day, shop and buy thousands of dollars worth of crap every week, etc.
The only real missing piece to the puzzle has always been this...where does the money come from? Many have speculated for years about there having been some kind of inheritance, either from Jawn's mother when she passed away a few years ago, or from Lisa's grandmother. But if either one of them was left any money, I'd think Lisa would have blown through it a long time ago, the way she spends.
I don't believe for a single minute that Jawn makes enough money at his job to allow her to spend this way. And I don't think Lisa makes enough from her website and her "deals" or whatever it is she has with Oliver, Sheila Fajl, and whoever else's back she's riding, either. But dang...she's getting money from somewhere, and I'm willing to bet the farm it's coming from some kind of shady business. I really have no idea what it could be, mainly because I don't know or understand about shady business, cheating on income tax, hiding money, etc. But I think there's something like that going on here, and both Jawn and Lisa are complicit in whatever it is. And if they are both in on some kind of money scheme together...well, wouldn't that give them a really big incentive to stick together and circle the wagons? I'm sure they don't want to end up like the Giudices, taking turns going to prison for fraud and money laundering!. -

I'm not sure where she's getting all the money from, but I can tell you where it's Not going….,.To her children for activities & hobbies, to her home for any major improvements or updates, for family vacations or entertaining.
I think any money that Lisa makes on YT and affiliates goes directly back to her and her spending. I also think she gets a commission from sales From Olivers & she sells some of her freebies and sweet gifts on eBay, I think she also sells privately to her minions. She even sold one of her bags and it only took her one day to sell it. Personally I don't think she got any major inheritance, but she might have gotten a small one from a family member. No one seem to be wealthy on either side, at least not that we know of.Sent via ForumFree Mobile

Yeah, that's why I said she would have likely blown through whatever inheritance they had a long time ago.
The thing that puzzles me is that Lisa spends more than some of the really big YouTubers. They use affiliate links and have deals with companies much larger than Oliver or Sheila Fajl, too. Something just doesn't add up...
And I agree with you, ECG...we definitely know where she isn't spending money. Those kids aren't benefitting from whatever money Lisa has. She doesn't seem to spend any of it on Jawn, either. And from what we can see, the household in general never gets any money put into it...she never updates her decor (except for her little Carrie Bradshaw fantasy FROG room). No fancy cars. No trips for the family...only for Lisa. No sweet sixteen birthday party for Brooke. But Lisa gets all of the stuff she buys for herself, PLUS she has a fairly new computer, the latest model iPhone, a new Apple watch, and it won't surprise me if she doesn't get a new car in the near future.
I wouldn't have a problem with her having any of it, if it seemed like she was a doting mother and her kids had everything they needed. But sadly, it has never seemed that way to me.

You could be right about them having something shady going on ....could explain why they are not close to anyone. The only time they socialise and I say that loosely is with their family ...they all stick together as if they have something to hide ? No one is allowed in the inner circle? Kids have no friends and don't go anywhere ....neither do Lisa or Elma Fudd and her parentss ....

I've long suspected that the Duncans are Guidice level hustlers...what with Jawn's Direct Depot scheme and all. I think Lisa's spending is mostly from her YouTube earnings. I actually think she makes a decent amount between the affiliate links, views and selling of PR packages and sweet gifts. Every dime she earns is used as her disposable income. She constantly buys, returns, sells and recycles whatever money she may have once earned through an inheritance. Jawn's money is used for the daily dining out in exchange for no groceries and tax fraud. . -

Jawn's business sells to the trucking industry, for the most part. Right now, there is a lot of money being made by those who sell and install electronic log books. But at the same time, I can tell you the trucking industry writes off every dime they can. Every purchase is documented with a receipt. So, he's not selling things cash and keeping off the books. Some of her gifts seem to be items Jawn would get from vendors as gifts, or bonuses for meeting sales quota's. My husband and his brothers get those sort of items They have Lisa listed as president of the company, which means they are getting very low, or no interest loans. We know several people who have the business in the wife's name for just that reason.
She has to be getting rid of things, otherwise that house would be packed to the rafters. However, you never get near the full price of any item, new, or used. She does not seem to wait for sales does she? Once in a very great while she will say she found something on the markdown racks.
More of my mind at work . . . They are or assist someone who moves drugs? Lot of drugs come up along the eastern coast of the USA, out of South America, in small boats. Most are stopping along the FL coast, but could some be coming up a little further?
Last spring we all saw how well the house is maintained, that front porch was deplorable. I can not imagine bopping out the door in 1200.00 shoes, and walking across a deck that looks like something you would see in an abandoned trailer park. That makes me think she/they is/are white trash (as we discussed eons ago)
No two ways about it, their lifestyle is VERY odd, cult like. Even the Amish mix and mingle more than the Duncan's appear to.. -

Agreed, they live a strange life. They NEVER have guests to their house. Lisa's parents are mentioned normally when she drops in to see her mum ....their house could be out of an episode of hoarders where there is nowhere to sit amongst 6 feet high shoe boxes, costume jewellery, toothpaste empties and hair supplies .... . -

I found it strange when Lisa was having her parents over for dinner, believe it was this past Thanksgiving and she had to clean out her China cabinet and said she wanted everything to be perfect. She usually goes to her brothers on Thanksgiving (in the past years she said) I wonder why it was so difficult to put together a dinner for a family of four & her parents. She never mentioned the menu or took a pic of anything. I'm assuming her Mom did most of the cooking, if not all. I just don't understand what is so difficult. When she first started YouTube she talked about cooking dinner often and her mom would occasionally make her a meal that her kids like. Nothing wrong with that, but why is having her parents over such a big ordeal?
