Yep. The Lucite Queen herself! Or as Lisa would think, #Goals. And what is wrong with all these women telling her how amazing she looks.
It's not just Lisa. She need not feel special. Virtually everyone who has a channel or any level of internet "acclaim" gets bombarded with faux praise and fangirling. The only explanation I can gather for this phenomenon is our celebrity culture. People put "famous" people so high on a pedestal. Social media lets these Stans get closer to their idols than ever before. But most real celebs ignore the praise (and ridicule) in order to stay grounded and actually live out their lives. So the Swim Fans flock to low level YouTubers in order to have that connection with their "star". They inflate these gurus heads with false compliments until they are recognized and eventually seen as a "friend". These virtual pals either continue to stalk and comment or if they're really off the deep end, start to send sweet gifts. It's a sick cycle.. -
