Have any of you tried the Rhode peptide lip stuff? What about the Summer Friday lip stuff?

Worth the hype or just hype?

I used to like the Summer Fridays balm but the last couple tubes I purchased were mostly air and it seems like they may have made a slight formula change as I find it's drying to my lips over time. I won't be repurchasing. Haven't tried the Rhode.

The Ole Henricksen peptide balm is great (at least the OG one in the yellow tube is - I haven't tried the new tinted versions yet). I'm planning to switch to this as my go to nighttime lip balm once my jar of Laneige runs out.

Ooo I might try the Ole Henrickson one. I love his peptide moisturizer (in the purple pot).

I had an unused Anastasia Brow Freeze Gel in my vanity. I opened it last night and it was completely liquid like glue. 🥴 Yuck. The first ingredient is water, and the formula is unstable. People often talk about it having mold. Big regret purchase!

My routine changes, but right now it's in this order.

If I need to remove makeup I first use Burt's Bees Orange Essence (smells amazing)
La Roche Posay Toleriane foaming or gentle cleanser depending on the day.
Pixi Glow Peel Pads with 20% glycolic acid
    CeraVe PM lotion

or Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream.

I want to try the OH peptide balm - been seeing it on TikTok quite a bit.

Cherie - my AB brow freeze has also turned liquid. It was good while it lasted. I am enjoying the Rare Beauty brow gel though!

IDES - I’m in between skincare right now. I’m finishing up a bunch of Elizabeth Arden stuff. It was all ok but nothing blew me away. Looking forward to finishing what’s left and moving on.

-Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask - love this! My favourite has always been the Omorovicza mask but this has been a great, less expensive alternative.
    -Fenty Fat Water
-Skinceuticals CE Ferulic - back to old faithful. There are many “dupes” people swear by but nothing beats this IMO. The glow this gives me is unique. Always come back to it.
-Avene Cicalfate Restorative Protective Cream - this isn’t something I use daily but I love it on an as needed basis. Especially in the winter.
-Sephora Melting Cleansing Balm - I wouldn’t buy this again. Doesn’t do a great job breaking down makeup. The Farmacy one is where it’s at. The Omorovicza thermal balm is incredible but I don’t always feeling like paying $$$$.
-Sephora Clean Skin Gel - this is ok. Basic. Good value.
-Sephora AHA BHA Smoothing Cleanser - this is ok. Basic. Good value. Would probably not buy either again. I like to be wow’ed

    About to try:
-L’Occitane Radiance Scrub (face) - I was using an amazing one by Sisley (Botanical Gentle Facial Buffing Cream) but the last quarter of the jar did dry out. I would repurchase though!
    -MAC Hyper Real Serumizer
    -MAC Hyper Real SkinCanvas Balm
-L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Baume Regard (eye cream)
    -Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Oil

I love seeing what everyone uses. I'm so nosey! :yellow-laughing-smiley-emoticon

Daytime I use: LaRoche Posay Tolaraine Hydrating Gentle Cleanser, Glow Recipe Guave Vitamin C Serum, LaRoche Posay Hydraphase Intense Hyaluronic Acid eye serum and Missha All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk EX SPF50+/PA+++

Nightime I mix things up (I don't think it's skin cycling) each night between all of these: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (every night), Versed Cleansing Balm (if I've worn makeup and/or sunscreen), Lancer The Method Polish for Congested Skin, The Ordinary AHA/BHA Glycolic Toner, Glow Recipe Watermelon PHA BHA Toner, Avene RetrinAL 0.1 Intensive Cream, RetrinAL EYES, Avene Hyaluron Activ B3 Serum Hyaluron Activ B3 Eye cream, Ole Henricksen Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturizer, Young Living ART Intensive Moisturizer, LaRoche Posay Toleraine Double Repair Face Moisturizer.

If I'm wearing makeup I've been using the Glow Recipe Watermelon Dew Drops as a primer.

When I shave my face it gets inflamed very easily so I don't use any products after except Avene Tolerance Soothing Skin Recovery Cream

I've I'm breaking out I swear by the Aztec Bentonite Clay mask.

Hmmmm, I thought I had greatly pared down my skincare routine but looking at this list it sure doesn't look like it. :in-disbelief-smiley-emoticon:

I have so many skin care samples to try. Bloomingdale's often has a pack of 20 deluxe samples they give out with a beauty purchase. They do way better than Sephora with that.

I really like the Sisley Black Rose line, but it's too expensive.

I really like the Avene products. I've been using them since last Fall. My face seems to like them too. I don't get oily or dry (combo skin here) and I don't break out.

I've dabbled in some higher end skincare but never really noticed them doing anything and Avene is praised a lot by The Budget Dermatologist so I started trying them and was very happy.

I wash my face with Purity, use a Clinique toner and moisturize with a TJ daily moisturizer in the morning and a gel based moisturizer at night. I don't have a preference cuz I usually just use whatever I've got on hand as a mini size. I think they are pretty much the same? I use Origins eye creams for morning and night.
