Does anyone watch Sunday morning on cbs?
Today’s show, at the end, was a video of Mark Twain National Forest.
This is what it actually looks like here.
Behind our house, on small dirt roads, driving to the river, grandsons hunting. This is why we don’t want a bunch of people moving in.
I wish these troubling people would leave!

I’m sure many people would never believe that it looks like this in MO. Most people only know STL and KC.
Also a lot of people say there’s nothing to do here. We do not live by a major city. The kids raised here find plenty to do.

I live by KC now and around here we don’t tell anyone about our local spots for beautiful things in nature. We don’t want people moving in and raising our house prices and stuff 😂😂😂

It’s absolutely crazy what people now pay for land on the river.
With fine “cabins”, you can expect to pay a million plus. Very few people around here are able to afford having a place. There are many ways to get on the river w/o owning land or using a canoe rental, but locals don’t let on about it.
Even old farmstead’s are ridiculous.
There’s no hospital here.
We have an urgent care and a clinic.
Tons of kids leave, looking for work.
One stinking grocery store, so they can charge what they want.
But, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. It’s beautiful here. We’re isolated.
And that’s what we like.

Just watched the new what they eat in a week video. I'm sure there will be lots of thoughts on Andrew sitting on the kitchen floor playing the guitar and David squatting by the counter eating and reading. They do seem to walk to the beat of their own drummers. It is obvious Janice has some kind of anxiety issues. If things don't go exactly to her plan, you can see she gets kind of out of sorts. Shawn does not appear to be very emotionally engaged and seems to only get excited over things he is interested in. This could be the perfect combination of genetics to make some kids on the spectrum. Really wouldn't surprise me if half the family were to be diagnosed ASD 1 or Aspergers as it used to be called. I see several similarities to my family members on the spectrum.

I just planted my garden. It’s not huge but it’s plenty for just me and my husband. We eat fresh though the summer and have enough to share as well as freeze and can for the winter.
For the life of me I cannot understand why JanASS buys so much canned and frozen vegetables. They have a garden but they don’t seem to get much from it. They also have at least two greenhouses.
From my observations this family is not homesteading. They have a few animals and acreage but they’re not self sufficient in way, shape or form.
These parents rely on their viewers to supplement their income. They exploit their children using them for free labor. They are nothing but greedy grifters!!
