I don’t use a planner, I'm more of a post- it type of person, but I used to love watching those plan with me videos Elle Fowler did where she decorated the planner for the week.

I love watching plan with me's. And order packing and packing videos. I don't know. It's my mindless tv :P

I agree Elle Fowler was a good content creator for that. Pleasant tone of voice, ok cadence, enunciation, upbeat and chats away saying nothing much. Weirdly enough, Jen kinda hits that too sometimes, and I think it's why they both make good background noise/falling asleep videos. Not every youtuber can pull that off.

Makes TOTAL sense. Because it's true.
    It's cult-like.

I have to assume the venn diagram of LuLaroe Boss Babes and Planner Ladies is nearly a circle

They do target the same audience. I wouldn't put it exactly like Idiot savant , but middle-aged stay-at-home mothers are the demographics most marketers go for because they are the ones that do the shopping for the family (typically) and they also are the ones that can feel isolated and lured in by the promise of a "community" and built-in friends, rather than people who already have the work social circles to mimic these relationships.

The majority of these businesses print overseas. You can't tell me the goodies are all American made. The only ones making money off these idiots who are willing to leave their family behind for a bunch of stickers, are the companies and the hotel. I would bet every single one of these women comes out of this event with at least $2k behind. Not counting those who ventured into Disney.
    It s a disgrace.

Yes. I follow a few of these "small shop owners" (I love packing order videos) and they all print overseas, or print a minimal amount at home and order the rest from overseas. It shouldn't come as a surprise : these ladies sell washi tapes, foiled stickers vinyl stuff, post-its and notepads, etc. That's not done at-home, and I am going to venture that a lot of them probably don't tour the factories or look too closely at the various accreditations for good practices and human rights.

But you will hear them ask to support a local, small business. If anything, they could talk about supporting local designers, but then, that's true for a whole lot of brands that produce their stuff in abhorrent conditions. Designed in (name country) produced in (Bangladesh, China, etc.).

Even a lot of products "made in the US" aren't completely made in the US. Especially clothes. According to regulations, they could only print the graphic or sew the label on in the US on a piece that's been made elsewhere and they get to say it's "made in the US". So there.

If I resell a bunch of stuff I bought from aliexpress or the likes, buying from me doesn't make me a local curio crurating business.

And going into debt for a hobby is ill-advise in all cases in my opinion, but especially for this stuff, tht doesn't have the resale value of, say, a musical instrument.

I wouldn't condemn the convention per se, but the whole hoarding and collecting mentality of the planner community is quite wasteful and ill-advised, financially speaking.

She’s not throwing cookies away. She’s not throwing any of that food away. The whole I bought this, but I’m not really going to eat it routine is ridiculous. She wants it to seem like she’s a person who cares what she puts into her body but she came off looking like an asshole who wastes food.

She’s too stupid to realize that no one would give a shit what she bought, if she didn’t make a big deal about her insane workouts and eating habits.

What's dumber is that cookies or snacks don't need to be eaten in the same day or week they were bought! Just say you're not buying them every week and voilà, you showed yourself to enjoy snacks or sugar at a healthy rate.

I am constantly amazed at how she tries to lie to appear better and always makes it either nonsensical or worse for herself.

    A couple of observations -

    1. She was in a manic phase during that haul.

    2. What's with the rainbow stuff? Is she trying to tell us something???

    Screen_Shot_2022-03-03_at_6

Not saying it's impossible, but she has always liked rainbow, colourful things. She was a fan of the colourful Erin Condren at first, and only switched to neutral when she was emulating the cool planner girls. She had rainbow letters of her nickname (Jenbo) and colourful wrapping paper in her office, etc.

I don't think she is sending a message, is my point.

That package would stress me out. I hate junk, flyers, etc. It looks like the stuff that falls out of magazines and newspapers, which I promptly pitch. Jen only loves it because the lady writes her a nice little note. So, Jen is paying $20/month for a friendly note from someone.

"so intricate" she says, holding some paper printed stuff. I mean, looked pretty standars 80's - 90's inspired stuff to me.

    QUOTE (Alimony and Wonder @ 25/2/2022, 20:53)
What the fuck is she even talking about with "conflicting stories" and not "knowing what's right and what's wrong?"

Hey, Jen? Russia invading Ukraine and killing people is WRONG. End of.

That's Jen's poor attempt at masking how ignorant she is on all things not-Jen.

Just like when she said she didn't know how to pronounce Jonna Jinton's name after "looking online for 30 minutes" when 5 min search on her website or youtube channel turns up a video of her saying her own name.

Listening to the news for 3 min would have been enough to know about the war, and what's going on right now.

But she decided to spend more time masking her ignorance than actually fixing it.

This is why she is unable to grow and learn and keeps spiralling away into an incredibly self-centered ignorant and insular person.

41 stories. Deep side part. Vest. Peloton shirt. The words "my supplement game." This filter that blurs her into oblivion as she preaches body positivity. There is nothing enviable about her.

ETA: "I'm not here to rag on sponsorships. You gotta do what you gotta do to earn your bread."

What is happening to her face? She doesn't look that frightening normally. This filter is too strong for her, the colors aren't right. Neither is that side part, though.

She really likes to shovel it it...

For someone who thought herself very fancy, going to expensive restaurants, she has atrocious table manners and overall mannerism.

I tried watching. Who describes a commercially produced common loaf of bread as "beautiful"??

Made soup and has been eating it all week - I love soup, but gosh, it's sad to eat the same soup all week, but she was always very monomenu kind of gal.

She goes to an unplugged lodging to watch pre-downloaded youtube videos... see Jen, this is why you struggle so much with this rugged travel persona. You always do it weird. If you go to an unplugged place, it's to stay off the internet or the internet's pre-downloaded content. Put on some music, and just enjoy your food... wait. That's a week old soup, with leftover bread and your own spiralling thoughts. Nevermind. Put on the video. But that's still not a good "unplugged" experience to watch and aspire to.

    QUOTE (Bangle Bitch @ 4/2/2022, 20:23)
Jen couldn’t afford to stay in RM1. Don was under no obligation to simply gift it to her. Not keeping it was one of the most financially responsible things she’s ever done.

It’s not about gifting it to Jen. Everything is not about Jennifer.. It’s about gifting it to his children so they don’t have to be uprooted. It’s about making a smooth transition during a divorce with the least impact on the children. Change is inevitable in a divorce, it’s important to make every effort to maintain some type of normalcy for the kids. Uprooting them from the only home they’ve ever known can have a psychological effect on them. Jen is not hurting by any means nor his Don. No one’s gonna try and convince me Jen had to sell that house. Jen wanted knew. She was slowing remodeling RM1. Jen talked about wanting a new fireplace next. She had already redone the kitchen and the flooring. Jen gets what Jen wants with no regard how it may effect others, including her children.

Seriously, we’re talking about two parents here who got a divorce and don’t bother to tell their daughter until she notices daddy‘s not there and brings it to their attention. Pathetic and sad. So I guess Don nor Jen sacrificed financially for their two children to keep them in their home that they were brought up in.

Yet I’m suppose to believe some how that makes Jen responsible, more like selfish if you ask me.
    :shaking_head_smiley_emoticon:

I don't agree. So far, the kids are at Don's as much as they are at Jen's, so keeping RM1 for either doesn't make it more stable when they are shuffled around every other day. And given Jen's poor showing of parenting, I wouldn't be surprise if the scales tipped on Don's side in a few years.

If anything, Don could have kept it. He's the one with a salary.

Even if Don gifted it to Jen, the upkeep (taxes and fees for the community, plus inevitable repairs) might have been too much for her alimony and child support, when you factor in her extravagant purchase habit.

In the end, the kids were very young and at that age, the coziness and warmth of their surrounding is much more important than the actual location - the tragedy is the new mausauleum and that awful custody schedule, not that they had to move, especially since Jen stayed in the house for almost halft a year after Don moved out before moving out herself. So it's not like the changes happened all in one month.

When having a dance party with my kids, we too only dance in a single square meter surface...
    NOT

Because there are no cameras to perform for.

It's sad how those kids keep looking at the camera, always making sure they stay/come back in the frame. 100 % Jen instructed them to do that.

I'm sorry but actual real life friends don't write poems for each other. Come on. It was either from a Textbook Stalker  or from Gene herself.

I've always thought since the "no friends/how I make friends" video, that she has a very juvenile vision of friendship that doesn't match how friendship works for adults. She wanted a sisterhood of the travelling pants" type, but those happen when you are a teenager.

As a kid in elementary school, writing poems or listing a friend's qualities according to the letters of their name was a common composition project. So it goes towards the juvenile/stunted view of friendship.

And she really needs to find someone to proofread her lies. She sound more ridiculous every time.
