I have thought about starting a YouTube channel many times. I live in a small, decluttered house and have a personal philosophy about organization to share. I wanted to focus on how to make a small house fun and easy to organize. For example, my house does not have a pantry, linen closet, garage, coat closet, family room, kitchen island or playroom - just standard small rooms. I want to share how I manage that. The width of the primary bedroom barely fits a queen bed and two small nightstands. No room for a dresser or comfy reading corner. No walk in closet either. All the closets are about the size of a single wide filing cabinet - typical of an older home. Again, I want to show how I make that work. I love my house for what it is. It is always tidy and easy to clean. Everyone who lives here can easily find things and put them away. It is completely paid for. It’s in a desirable location. I’m next to a park with walking trails. My house gives off a very calm vibe. I am not complaining or wishing for something bigger. I have a good sense of humor and I think I could make that come across on YouTube.

Needless to say, I simply don’t understand how Jen was accepted by her viewers as an organizing expert when obviously she’s not.

Awww…I love everyone’s supportive comments. From my “real” job, I have a pretty thick skin, but I don’t know if I could take a lot of negative comments - or heaven forbid, snark - about something so personal as my home. That holds me back.
The other thing that holds me back is I recently had cancer, gained weight from the boatload of steroids I’m still on and lost every single hair on my body because of chemotherapy. (You don’t realize how important nose hair is until it’s gone!) I have a lot of permanent hair loss and my self confidence about my appearance and who I am has taken a hit. Even a year post-chemo, I have no eyebrows or eyelashes. I have very thin hair on my head with major bald spots. I’ve gotten used to wearing wigs, but it’s hard to master fake eyebrows (yes, they make those out of human hair) and fake eyelashes. I had very thick hair and my stylist used to remark about how fast it grew. Ha! I don’t miss the underarm or leg hair, but the person I see in the mirror is not me. PLEASE know that I am not looking for sympathy - not at all. After chemo, surgery, radiation and immunotherapy during a pandemic, my prognosis is excellent. Those treatments did what they are supposed to do. I have a supportive family and friends. I am getting stronger - mentally and physically - every day. I just can’t face a camera. Maybe a YouTube channel where I don’t show my face?
If anyone else is in the HER2+ club and wants to chat, DM me.
Again, thanks for letting me know you’d watch my channel if/when I start one.

I think you would appeal to a great number of people.
I think you are more beautiful than you realize.
I think you have so much to offer.
I hope you do YouTube and invite us over to your house and life.

You have the perfect name already, too.

I’ve seen that “That’s a crock of shit” gif so many times that it’s actually endearing to me now. I cant help but watch it over and over whenever it pops up in the thread. Am I expecting her to do something different if I watch it enough times? What’s wrong with me? Is it a secret subliminal message she’s putting out like black magic or something?

    Hell no.
I'm even careful about saying things like, "I pulled into my driveway today, and..." because for The Bakery investigative teams, "driveway" might be enough to identify someone.

    Seriously. lol

Being on a completely other continent than must people here gave me enough security to post the cat pics the other day.

You know we were zooming in on your bag and the stuff in your door pockets.
I mean, you know that, right?

based on the word driveway I can assume you live at 103 Maple Tree Lane in Kansas City. only took a minute of googling to figure it out...

    Shit.

    Off to call the movers.
Might leave a few hundred bins behind, though.

    Hell no.

Shall I make a parody Youtube channel where I pretend to be Jen? We're about the same age and are both brunette

    Yes, please.
And collect things like potato chips that look like ducks, dryer lint, dried up nail polish.
    Never share anything with anyone.
Say the names of every single thing incorrectly.
Spray water on your face to look like sweat.
    And flare your nostrils constantly.

    Sounds like fun to me!!
Beats the heck out of Jen.

Yes, she packed them away when she did the Craptice organization that took six months or so and didn't even include the closet. That video I posted was the precursor to that first 'organization' of the Craptice.
And where did she put them, you might ask?
In the huge box/bins in the closet (under the luggage) that housed the Boyd's Bears she packed away.

    Kill me now.
    Or...send me some money.
    lol

I think this is where we are in Rewatch right now?

You're watching the one she did two years later. The one I'm referencing was fairly early in her YouTube 'career'
    Her first failed attemp.

Like I said before, same shit, different decade. She makes a lot of excuses for herself and her failed/discarded attempts at nearly everything she did/does.

why don't I remember those little boxes at all? is there a Jen Ross video I haven't seen? I thought I knew every useless thing there was to know :o:

I don’t either. Were they always up or did she pack them away at some point?

Ooo can we play 20 questions?

deltaburkefan Is it a specific time period or current fashion? And is it a niche fashion type? And do you ever wear cowboy boots to hide your bunions?

VeganGingerbread do you do packing cube reviews? Or travel vlogs

Clearly I’m not in the mood to pack and clean.

I don't have bunions or cowboy boots! It's a very specific niche.

If we're playing 20 questions, I'll guess handbags is your niche.
You know a lot about them.

Bound to forget things after ten years of meaningless videos, don't ya think?

I have so much Jen info in my brain. Such a waste of space.
If only I could cash in on it somehow. lol

    Is it about Delta Burke?

I watched this video, in which she talks about those trinket boxes. There were actually TWO! sets of shelves, which housed at least 80 trinket boxes:

    Screen_Shot_2021-06-28_at_12

BUT...they're not Limoges. They were made by the Boyd's Bears company.
So, their value is not in the hundreds. Instead, they are now valued at $20 or less for the most part.
All she ever bought was cheap crap. It's crazy.
Don ruined her in the worst of ways. Fill your life with meaningless things.
    So creepy.

This is the video, if anyone wants to watch it:

She never grew, in any way. She never changed. She never accomplished. She never learned.
