For anyone who thinks Jen wasn't a good Mom, or just wanted her pampered lifestyle back watch this video. She does all the Mom things pretty well I think.

I think she slacked off "taking very good care of Don" and decided they suddenly had too many differences. I think he screwed up in some major way like cheating or angry drunken outbursts when they argued.

Idk...I watched the entire vlog and nothing stood out to me as anything above and beyond.
She seemed frazzled, annoyed, and possibly resentful that she couldn't run to Starbucks for a "medicine ball".
I think she does all the mom things because she literally has no choice. She is stuck at home with them and is a slave to their needs, wants, and schedules.
I think Jen is miserable, and suspect that rather than any major indiscretion on Don's part.
Agree that he may have felt neglected because her focus moved on to the kids, but I also think she is resentful that she is no longer the "baby" and the center of the Young Ross household.

They could easily afford a nanny or mother's helper. I bet Don encouraged her to hire one and she said no. I think that would have saved the marriage.

I could see them arguing over the second hand smoke, and added to the meat and sex ban what does Don have left? Tito's and Jen's cold dirty bathwater. :snickering:

    NEW THEORY!
    Reasons for divorce
She stopped "taking very good care of him." Too tired from working out, child care, etc
They argued about meat and WHETHER OR NOT HE COULD SMOKE POT IN THE HOUSE!
I bet he did for some time and she put her foot down when they had kids.

    so....

lemme get this straight. (I haven't read past page 31 yet...)

Jen is now going to try to get her "followers" to subsidize her lifestyle because she and her wealthy husband decided to get a divorce?

    Bitch, please.

    Go get a job.
she won't get a dime from me.

Haha I'm here for HelpMeI'mPoorJen living in her 1.5 million dollar house, driving a brand new car, her alimony and kids' school probably pre-paid.

Isn't it possible though that in exchange for keeping the house, he won't be required to pay her all that much? Maybe enough to cover operating expenses? He should have to pay child support, sure, but it's feasible that this split isn't all that amicable and if he really did get pissed off with her for some reason (lack of sex... ridiculous self-centeredness... veganism... whatever) he may be cutting her off and structuring the finances in a way that the kids will be fine, but SHE won't have the cash flow to support her ridiculous spending habits.

Maybe they discussed this and the kids will get school paid for, and Jen will get some cash for the kids, but the bulk of their money will be set up in some kind of trust that they can't access until they are older.

Yes if the value of the house is say 1.2 million, then her keeping the house means she's getting $600,000 as a lump sum if they're splitting assets 50/50.

My picks for her one little word:

    bravery
    strength
enough- I am enough without a husband
    Me
New- A fresh, new start in life without the Donlad
Peace - How she is at peace with her decision to KonMari Don
Journey- It's gong to be a whole new journey!

    Don's one little word

    meat
    dominant
    hypersuxual :sorry_smiley:

I think she'll get the house, he'll pay for the kids' school through college , but I'm not sure she'll get $20,000-$25,000 per month. How are people calculating that?

I'm trying to figure out the size of her nest egg and it's difficult. Her grandparent's place in NY must have been worth at least 1.5 million. It's possible Jill took the bulk of the estate, 1 million, and maybe Jen and her brother each got about $150,000-$200,000.

But does she still have the budget for daily $6 bath bombs from whole foods?

WOW. I mean, we were prepared for this but it's the end of an era. My 2020 resolutions include not wasting so much time on Jen, but with this it's hard! I think she grew a backbone after being a Mom and said no to his hyper sexual dominant ways, and then realized he wasn't so great after all.

Same green Mickey T on Christmas, no jacket. Also Jen gets him a present to cook meat and he's super excited.
