I don't follow her anymore but am interested in her travels. Are they still in Spain or is their Telluride house finished?

I would say we roughly have 4 times per week dinners with meat (and I think this is a lot - considering health and environment).

How do you think about this?

(This isn't meant to start a heated discussion, I'm just interested in the differences).

I'm surprised that the perception is that vegetarian options are hard to come by in the U.S. Maybe in the south and the midwest in rural areas, but I live in a mid size American city and I would say half of my friends are either vegan or vegetarian. We are meat eaters but eat about 2-3 meatless dinners per week. I could do even more, but my husband couldn't. I am kind of surprised that Germans eat less meat, but when I lived in Germany I definitely observed that they ate more fruits and vegetables and less chips and candy than Americans. Now pastries...that's a different story, and if I had access to that superior deliciousness, I would eat more of them, too

I haven't heard of Mississippi pot roast. 🤔

Here you go. I'm curious to hear what others think of it.

I was referring to the fact that they can take weeks off of work while interfering with real working folks. Sorry to make you so ragey.

what is even happening in this thread? it blows my mind that people are still arguing about covid. if you don't want a vaccine and don't want to wear a mask then just....don't

I checked out the Herman Cain Award subreddit recently and saw that there is still no shortage of people dying from covid who also thought it was just the flu. sucks for them and their families

the freedom truckers are just hilarious and have been my source of entertainment lately. what are they even protesting? cases were going down, mandates being lifted...and then they decided to protest? okay. this would have made more sense a year + ago. they look ridiculous now considering what is going on in another part of the world. just a laughable to time to act like they are living under "tyranny." I thought those types of people hated protestors who blocked traffic? I guess it's different in this case somehow

I have been getting quite a kick out of the snowflake truckers, too, but I don't live in DC anymore. My stepkids don't find them funny at all. Between the noise and the increase load on the beltway, it's like a bunch of toddlers terrorizing the neighborhood. They could just as well be riding Big Wheels, for all the impact they are having. What really pisses me off is the entitlement, just like all forms of entitlement pisses me off.

I made that trendy "Marry Me Chicken" and it is sooo overrated.

I feel that way about that Mississippi pot roast that everyone raves about. Meh.

I worked with covid patients for 2 years and didn’t get covid until my daughter brought it home for the second time in January, from the only place she goes that doesn’t require masks, her dance studio and it spread like wildfire both times, wonder why🤔 The first year I only had masks at work, no shields or gowns, just surgical masks while patients coughed directly in my face at times, the masks work. I’ve also been wearing masks for years during flu season and I haven’t had that in 22 years. People who say they don’t work NEVER wear them properly or don’t wear them at all and of course end up with covid and say “SEE they don’t work”, well no shit Sherlock.

Don't you know that you, as a nurse are not qualified to weigh in on this, when there are anti-maskers who have gotten very scientific information from YouTube? Never mind that every medical professional for as long as we can remember wears a mask during surgery. But they don't work because some selfish person on a right wing radio show said they don't work. I swear, I am so over these people.

We have no more mask mandates in my county but I have been so pleasantly surprised to see about 50-75% of customers in stores and restaurants are still masking up, and I have only been in one business wear the workers are not required to wear a mask. I just don't get what the big deal is.

I think the pandemic is over Europe is opening up and stopping the mask requirements and social distancing altogether, other countries are following it’s only a matter of time until the USA follows suit, the virus is mutating weaker as expected it’s going to be treated as flu with a possible yearly vaccine. I know people will say but people are still dying and that’s true a lot of people die from flu yearly we have to learn to live with it obviously herd immunity will also help, I have had my vaccines and Covid unfortunately so I’m certainly not an anti vaxxer however this is the way it’s going now so I guess it’s every person for themselves.

3400 people died from COVID yesterday. It’s more than 2000 every day in the US. It does seem that most people have just decided to give up fighting it.

That stupid Freedom Convoy is heading out on March 3 from a suburb near me. Can’t wait. 🙄

I had hives with my 2nd and booster (Pfizer) and also with my Shingles shot. It wasn’t bad, and I’ll take it any day over COVID.

Now this is a just a shame. What is wrong with women thinking that this looks better than a naturally aging face. It seems anyone on YT that is over 50 has these giant chipmunk cheeks. She looked great in the photo on the left.

Yes, she looked kind of sexy and sultry in the first one. Very natural.

I think my favorite cookie is the good old traditional chocolate chip. I prefer mine chewy. And if it has the thick rectangular chocolate pieces even better. In the Martha Stewart Cookie book there is an excellent chocolate cookie as well. Snickerdoodles are good but not my favorite.. And I am really not a fan of sugar cookies. A little too boring for me!

Chocolate chip are the best. I still can't get them quite perfect yet. It's such a personal thing. I like more cookie than chocolate, a little crispy and a little chewy.

I made snickerdoodles this weekend and I just wanted to throw out that those cookies would be perfect for anyone who has little helpers in the kitchen.

Yes! They were the first cookies my Mom taught us to bake.

How do you like your meatloaf do you like that sweet ketchupy stuff on top or do you like gravy or just plain BBQ sauce or ketchup on top?

I am a ketchup on top girl. But my favorite thing about meatloaf is having a cold meatloaf sandwich the next day. For me, it had to be on white bread with mayo and salt and pepper.

My husband asked for monkey bread this weekend, so that is what I am baking.

I like Ina's meatloaf recipe, but I like her turkey meatloaf even better! https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-ga...-recipe-1921718
