Congratulations to Kally and Felix. I hope that they have a long and happy marriage. My husband and I were married at ages 21 and 22 and we are still happily married! We have been married for 42 years now.
The most important thing about marriage is it is hard work and you should never go to bed angry or upset with your spouse. Living away from family helps too. Every marriage that I know of that was messed up was due to extended family sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. haha My hubby and I chose to live far away from our extended families. We had to rely on each other during our marriage and that is the way that it should be. Work together and not against each other.
I don't know about Felix's family but it seems like Deric and Kimmy adore Felix and would be willing to help the young couple if the need arises. They seem to let Kally make her own mistakes and make her own choices and now that she is married, I don't see her parents hovering over her like I have seen a lot of YT parents do with their older kids.
In the LDS faith, the wedding rings are not that important during the wedding ceremony/sealing. They probably had a civil ceremony that was simple so the kids could get married and start their own home/family. I would not be surprised if the person that married them was one of Deric's family member who holds the priesthood and is probably a Bishop in the church. He would be allowed to marry the kids legally. With this pandemic, who knows what the future holds so I can only guess that they wanted to get married as soon as possible. I am sure they will be sealed in the Temple later on. I am not sure if all the Temples are closed for now but I do know that church services and meetings are closed and have been closed for many weeks now. All LDS families are holding their own church services in their home since the males (12 and older) hold the priesthood if they are good standing members of the church.
I have not seen the wedding video since they took it down. Just read what has been written in the Bakery. I am sure his parents probably are not used to being on video. If his parents are strict Catholics, they probably wanted their son to marry a Catholic girl in the Catholic church. I believe Felix is from Mexican American ancestry, his parents are probably upset that he changed religions too. I am sure the quick wedding ceremony was for Felix's family more than Kally's family since they won't be able to go to the Temple sealing later on.
Kimmie looked pretty but yes, different shoes would have been much better. Kally and Felix looked really happy in the photo.
Hello Bakers, First time posting and LONG time watching. I used to love the oldies and her packing tips. I am so happy I found this group because I feel the same way you all do. Your humor is refreshing as we witness this unfortunate divorce unfold.

Did she really have to do an Instagram story about her stupid plant window? I think everyone knows how to water their plants and clean their window sills. By the way, Jen, your kitchen window looked streaky and dirty. Needs to be cleaned on the outside too, not only the inside. And why on earth is everything in her life a "situation" or a "journey?" A plant situation. LOL
The more I see of Jen yapping away about nothing important on Instagram, the more I love the fact that Don is a single man now. I bet he sleeps very well these days.
It is good to see those kids walking outside. I don't know why she has to give us the daily weather report but oh well, at least the kids are getting some fresh air and sunshine.
Watched her video today. Jen really needs to do something with herself as in taking better care of her hair and put on a little make-up if she plans to be on camera. Her not caring about her appearance is so off-putting.
I see moms like Betsy Mikesell, Lynette Yoder, Parisienne Farmgirl, Shanna LeRoy and others who do take time to look nice for their YT and Instagram stories/videos. Many of these women have more children than Jen does. They also hold jobs outside of their home or they are out gardening, fixing up their homes, cooking most of their meals and teaching their children during this time. Why can't Jen get her act together and present herself like a woman who cares about herself and her family? Why is Jen so damn lazy about everything? It seems that Jen only cares about her "feelings" and as a viewer I am tired of her "lumberjack" naturally worn out look.
It was good to see Don there watching the kids find the Easter eggs. It is good he is there to show support for his kids for special holidays and weekends, etc. Most dads honestly do not show up for their kids. Glad Don cares about his children despite going through a divorce with Jen.
Donny did a lot better than CC with finding the eggs. He seems more observant than CC on Easter morning. Donny seemed really happy to have his Dad there and boy, he was raring to go to Dad's house too with grabbing his backpack! LOL
I could not see Don that well but from what others have said, he looks better than he did when he lived with Jen. I really think living with her stressed him out. Now he has the freedom to do more for himself, on his own and take better care of himself mentally and physically. Now, he only has his two kids to take care of and not third child Jen he use to have to watch constantly. It is a good thing he knows how to cook and grill and I am sure he is preparing healthier keto meals for himself. Probably, how he lost a few pounds.
Jen just looks sick or doesn't care how she comes across on camera. Her skin looks bad and her lips look bad and she has dark circles around her eyes. She really needs to get more sleep than she does. It might do wonders for her health.
Like so many, I was also shocked to see her dirty pantry cabinet - inside and outside on the wall and door panel. In her earlier videos, she really seemed to take pride in her home and kept it clean (even with maids) but now she seems to not care how her house looks anymore. Her messy house matches how Jen is feeling inside. Her children are old enough to help pick up their toys. I use to put my kids toys into empty pillow cases if they did not pick up toys or clothing from the floor within an hour after I told them. I would hide those toys and clothes for about a week and it depended on how well my kids kept their room cleaned is when they would get their toys/clothing back. Jen needs to teach her kids what consequences are if they do not listen to her. If those kids can run and pick up Easter eggs, they are old enough to run and pick up their toys and clothing/shoes from the floor.
So glad that Don or someone else is the voice of reason about that dirty Bunsy. Hopefully, the next time it goes to Don's house that gross thing will get tossed into the trash. Proud of CC for speaking up and telling her mother that she's a big girl and doesn't need a baby toy to drag around.
In this video starting around 4:54 isn't that a brown fast food bag on Don's side in the airplane? The brown bag looks full so maybe, he went back to one of the fast food counters and got more food to eat on the plane? Before they get on the plane you can see a white paper bag between his legs on the floor and he has a soda and a coffee to drink and on the plane there is a small brown paper bag with red and purple stars sitting at his feet that looks like it came from a fast food place.
I honestly think that she is really upset and crying because Don has his own place now and he is moving on with his life. I bet she kind of wanted the separation but really thought he would come back and fight for her and when that didn't happen, she didn't know what to do because her world that she once knew broke apart once he made a final decision to leave and that is why she was so upset in Oregon.
What the hell did she think would happen all of those months or even a year ago when she was thinking of a separation and divorce from Don? What did she think would happen with them having two separate households and that her kids would be spending time with Don a few nights each week? Didn't she think of that before she blew up her marriage and family life?
Now she is crying over her kids going to see their dad and spending the night there?
She is going to be a bigger mess when her in-laws and Don tell her no to Utah vacations and only the kids are allowed there and no Disney trips with him or his parents, etc. She is going to really be upset once he has a new girlfriend, perhaps a wife later on and his kids go spend time with them.
That milk video will be nothing compared to what's coming up in the next few months and years if Jen doesn't get into some real therapy sessions and pull herself together.
Found his new place online. It looks really nice for a newly single dad. I am sure once this virus is over with, Don will be able to meet neighbors and have friends over. I think he will get more chances to meet new people and Jen will still be stuck in limbo inside her mansion. I don't get why she constantly takes the kids out in the wagon or stroller unless she is walking for an hour and actually going somewhere like a store but I do hope she is not taking the kids anywhere except around the neighborhood. The kids would sleep better at night if she would let them walk off their energy and let them get some exercise too.
Wow! Those recent photos are truly heartbreaking. She looked so much better about 7 years ago when she was eating healthy and exercising and taking care of herself. This shows if you are not a kind and loving person then how you are as a person on the inside starts to show on the outside. She has not only ruined her family/friends relationships but she has destroyed herself in many ways.
It is fine for Kimmy to take some time off for herself. Her children are old enough to make breakfast, lunch and dinner for themselves for one day if they have to. Her kids are old enough to help with the housework. Those kids and Deric should help her with prepping and cooking meals. Why should Kimmie be the only person doing housework or cooking in that household? It would be much different if she had infant or toddlers or grade school children but those kids are old enough to help out at home. It teaches them how to have the skills necessary for the day when they leave their parents home and have to live by themselves. Deric, also can help as well if he is at home during this time of sheltering at home. Moms do not do well if they are stressed out and tired or need extra sleep. I don't think she should be filming vidoes if she's worn out and having anxiety issues but I do feel she deserves time for rest and relaxation if she needs it.
What exactly is she feeding her two children? She bought some tofu and salmon and a lot of bread. Do the kids get hummus and veggies or grilled cheese or PB and J sandwiches all of the time? Does Jen feed them some salmon or tofu or does she have a stash of fish/beef/chicken/turkey in her freezer? I will say that she does feed them veggies and fruit a lot which is a good thing but it would be nice if she would do a few cooking videos for dinner to show what she actually makes them for dinner.
Do her kids ever get to eat normal meals like spaghetti and meat sauce, soups, chicken and rice or does Jen only feed them grilled cheese or PB and J sandwiches for dinner? Does she ever make homemade tacos, enchiladas or lasagna? Those are easy and fun foods that most kids would like. Jen could always use vegan crumbles for meals she could eat along with letting the children eat those meals too. A couple of vegetable/vegan meals each week will not hurt her kids. There are tons of YT videos on how to make that to use for meals.
She constantly tells us that her kids will only eat certain foods. How about letting them TRY new foods. Let CC help chop up different vegetables such as zucchini, tomatoes or carrots? Usually, kids that get to help in the kitchen will be willing to eat different kinds of foods. Let them try potatoes in different ways other than eating only french fries.
I really think it's Jen who does things the easy way so she has to do less work in the kitchen. Jen has all of the time in the world to teach her kids good eating habits now that they are so young. This is the best time to teach them about different fruits and vegetables. Kids will usually eat if Mom is sitting there trying new foods too. Jen can improve her cooking skills and her kids can learn how to eat a huge variety of vegetables. I am sure her kids eat a lot more veggies at their school.
I don't begrudge her buying food. This is the same stuff that was shown on her IG earlier. It is good that she is only going out every 7 to 10 days to buy food/essentials. Wondering if this was the same day she went to Target to buy stuff for her parents?
At least she is smart enough to not drag the kids into stores during this really bad time for all.
There is nothing wrong with buying ice cream, wine or even chocolate. I am sure everyone has bought treats or special foods to calm themselves during this shutdown and shelter at home the past few weeks. Why does she always act so scared about people's comments judging her? She has been on YT for 10 years now and the comments never seemed to bother her before? Why now?
I really didn't see anything wrong with her sharing her food haul. I think she is dumb for spending extra money for food that she could buy cheaper elsewhere.
I would like to see her do more content on crafts, cooking and baking and even Jen cleaning her bathrooms to show us that she actually does that now. It would be nice if Bunsy got tossed in the garbage too. That makes me sick to see CC carrying that germy thing around in her mouth and hands.
The last few weeks, we can definitely see why Don left her. We only see her in small doses each week. Imagine having to live with her all of the time! Don isn't perfect either but he might be more tolerable than Jen. At least he showed some empathy and love for his kids and extended family/friends. Jen really shows us from time to time that she can be more childish than her own children. She really is a mess!
