Will she, gasp...keep the Ross family cleaning personnel??

Cleaning videos are popular on YouTube. Jen could film herself cleaning, talk about Grove Collaborative, lol.

I'm curious, how much would Jen earn from YouTube? She has over 100K subscribers. Is it enough to live on, without going crazy spending?

I'm surprised at the announcement, but not very shocked. Don is an annoying thinks-he-knows-it-all, as evidenced by Jen's eye rolling at Disney, and his drunken vlogs. I feel mostly bad for the kids, but they're very young and have both sets of grandparents as support. Plus if there was fighting in the household, that could make any kid anxious.

Married 5 years, and I think they'll be staying together and be miserable until the kids are out of the house. Team hayride then, I guess? Besides, I never thought they had a happy marriage. Jen treats Don like crap and he acts like a know-it-all.

Adding kids to the mix definitely can cause strain. I had some depression after having my daughter, but my husband, thank goodness, was a big support.

If everything is ok between them, why throw your family/marriage under the bus? When it’s so easy to clarify things?

because if she answers questions about the tinder stuff she is responding to the trolls. it's not fans who are going out of their way to create fake pics, fake profiles, etc. the main ones talking about it is us. I'm sure most viewers haven't a clue that anything may be wrong

btw I've been married for 4 months so naturally I'm an expert on this entire topic :snickering:

    Congratulations, Meow! :)

I know someone else mentioned it but I can’t believe she didn’t include her Boyd’s Bears or American Girl dolls in her collections.

She also didn't include Boyd's little boxes, or tea cups, or spoons, or Snoopy, or stuffed animals, or yarn, or makeup, or alllll the other things she collected.

    It's Jen.

    Remember?

    ------------------

As for the meaning of "we are going to St. Louis" that's been discussed, her exact wording was:
"My parents are going, and we’re going with the kids."

She made jewelry too. Remember that huge pillow that she bought? That was either for making jewelry or knitting, but it's collecting dust right now.

I've seen this posted before but...what if Jen saw that her subscriber count wasn't very high and made up the fake Tinder profile - behind Don's back - just for not only head pats and sympathy, but more subscribers? Everyone would want to see what's up with the mom of two little kids whose husband is searching for hookups on Tinder!

Nope, watch again and look at the shadow! She asks him to help Donny, and a drawer in the kitchen must be open, so he slams it shut to walk by and get to Donny. I guess his way of letting Jen know he'd rather be swiping right on Tinder hoes.

I agree. You can tell by his hand up too. Like wtf throwing hand up

I watched it a few times and Charlotte definitely looks up to see what's going on and Jen stops up and looks too. She's probably thinking, "Asshole." It seems like she edited some time out too, because a couple more cookies are decorated.

I mark the downfall at Italy, their relationship was visibly strained at that point and has never really recovered. Speculation time, but I think that's when Don put his foot down about having kids, she'd been stalling with the shag carpet herbs around a year at that point? And that trip was just over six months before they conceived CC. I definitely remember from her "infertility journey" that they were going to put her on Clomid if she hadn't conceived by May. I don't know how quickly they put you on meds there, but here it's pretty far down the line of investigation. Six months seems reasonable to me, and would fit the timeline.

I'm in the US and that's what my doctor told me when I was TTC. Try six months without any help, and then they'd put me on something.

Jen's vlog was sad. I'm glad she seemed to have fun making the gingerbread house and playing outside with the kids, but something is definitely going on.

For those of you talking about menopause in the previous thread, know this: It's SO much better on the other side. The 'journey' is a tough one, lasting a couple/few years, but once you get there, it's quite delightful!

The main thing to remember is that forgetfullness is a one of the main symptoms.
    I always forgot that.

And to keep it on-topic. Unlike Jen, there are no longer CRAMPS!

Totally OTT-it’s so nice to hear this. I’m going through the menopause right now (just saw my gyno today for hormones) and I feel like I’m losing my marbles.

We need a peri and menopause thread I think.

    This shit is hard.

    Ok, back to Jen.

I'm trying to catch up on Jen's videos and finally did it! I'm so here for any menopause chats. I turned 44 last month and I'm waiting to say see ya to my period!

I couldn't help but think of Jen falling off the exam table if she had gotten that news

    Congratulations!

Now that the children are learning how to do household chores at the Soup Kitchen, Don, could you please bring up those seasonal bins and let them decorate?

I decorated our house for fall & Halloween yesterday since it was October 1st.

As I was putting out all the decor, I thought about Jen & wondered how much seasonal decorating was going on in the Ross household.

It makes me rage-y thinking about how much she decorated for all the different holidays BEFORE she had kids vs. how little holiday-decorating she does now that she actually has kids.

I put a cotton spider web-thing w/ some plastic spiders in my kids' bathroom, &, today, my son noticed me adjusting the fall stuff on the kitchen table & said, "Hey! I like those spiders in our bathroom!"

    Kids notice.

I decorated a few weeks ago and let my 3 year old daughter help. I told her that any decor I put on the coffee table was stuff she could play with and she's been having fun with it. I have some fake leaves from Dollar Tree and she's been tossing those in the air and "raking" them.

I might have to dive into a Jen video. She's been so boring lately that I haven't bothered to check out her videos.

Holy Moses, I missed a whole thread AND you're 1/3 through the next one? What happened?!

Congrats, martiniflightlikedon!! We just took baby #2 home from hospital on Monday, she's perfect!

    Aww, congratulations! :)

She only picks ones where she wants to brag anyway. What’s the point?

Questions I would like to ask-
    1. Why do you give your kids whole grapes?
    2. When are you organizing the Craptice?
    3. What happened to our wedding scrapbook? Did you throw all the pictures out or something?
    4. Do you plan to braid your eyebrows?
    5. When will you branch out from giving your kids grilled cheese for every meal?
    6. Has Don moved full time to the dungeon?

    Braid your eyebrows! :yellow-laughing-smiley-emoticon

Why on earth would she think it's okay to throw out her wedding pictures, even if they're not in the scrapbook? Oh, wait...duh, this is Jen.

    Dear Jen,
Just quit already. You hate it. Also, thanks for another passive aggressive shit quote about being unappreciated.
    Sincerely,
    The Universe

Considering she started her channel in 2010 and has just over 100,000 subscribers, while Do It On A Dime launched two years later and has over one million...Jen needs to change something.

That whole office/craft room/craptice is wasted on her.

I wish I had half that room to scrapbook. I'd leave my crap out all over the place and just shut the door. ;)

I'm surprised she didn't have a cute "Back to school" picture of Charlotte. I even made the kiddo a sign for her first day of preschool 3.

Watching Jen's channel vs. watching paint dry...bring on the paint.

I'm not sure I want organizational tips from Jen. She doesn't really purge, but just buys bins to put all of her crap in.

Great title! Jen has some serious body issues. I do as well. But Jen takes it to an entirely new level. There are some decent female swimming bottoms that are almost the length of short shorts that she can buy. The outfit she had on actually does the opposite of what she wants. It will draw attention to her because people will wonder who the loon is in the 1920's getup!

I bought some new swimwear after giving birth, and I prefer bottoms with a skirt. It doesn't even hit my knees, but I feel more covered. Jen's seriously got some body issues and I feel bad for her, but I really hope she won't pass this onto Charlotte. That little girl is perfect just the way she is and I don't want Jen making any comments about her daughter's body.

As for the long sleeved top and the pants that Jen got - wouldn't she be roasting in those?!

My fiancé has a big family and they all talk non-stop. There is no way I could spend a month with them.

My in laws are great, but FIL watches Fox News (aka Faux News) and I'm pretty sure is a Republican. There's no talking politics in that house, lol. I can take a couple of days, but a month? Not a chance.

It seems the farm visit is a little treat for herself at the end her long hard day :10:

Hence the kids are not with her.

    WHAT??????????????????????
No way, when my kids were little, would I go do this WITHOUT them?! she is freakin WEIRD!!!!!!

Not only weird, but selfish. It's Jen time with the animals. How dare Charlotte or Donny want to see the pigs, chickens, etc. with their mom.

There is a new (in the past 2 years) vaccine for shingles that you can get if you are over 50 and I recommend it to all my patients. The effectiveness of it is fantastic and shingles can be incredibly painful and can recur for years. I've had them on my outer thigh, right near my hip, and I couldn't sit in any chair with arms for weeks because if I bumped it, I screamed.

I don't know if my aunt had gotten the vaccine then, or if it was even available, but several years back she had shingles and she said it was horrible. The rash even got up near her eyes. I did have chicken pox as a kid and when I'm old enough I will get the vaccine.

Now to catch up on posts!
