What does your tax return have to do with a name change? Nothing. People change their names mid year all the damn time.

I have a SIL who took years to change her name, no big deal...it's the having to hear about it every quarter. It's a pain but not this complex.

She could have changed it in NY and dealt with the DMV later. I kept my maiden name DL until is expired without issue.

Why does she think her taxes need to be done to change her name? That's not a thing Laken.

It is great Leighann is doing all she can to raise funds… but it’s kinda gross to only show up when she is asking for money, then radio silence til the next time she is asking for money

I get it. She has a massive platform to raise funds from. I have a tie to childhood cancer and know the need for funding. I presume the situation is similar as far as need for funds for medical research. I would do the same if I were her. It's not like it only benefits her family.

Changing the loofah quarterly?? I change mine monthly. I realize she doesn’t bathe frequently but they are $2-5 and we are aware of her lack of cleaning.

Also, you don't need a reminder. You can tell when it is wearing out. I keep a spare on hand, when the current one gets overused I swap it out and order a new spare. Same with toothbrushes. No list and chart needed.

It's an assumption he makes good money. He is likely commission-based and he has not been at this job long to build up a huge clientele. While many are open to electronic communication he may be at risk of losing some NY clients when they move to Chicago. He will need to build up a new network in Chicago to build business there. It will take time (unless all of Laken's mom's cronies are willing to do business with him). I don't know that he doesn't make a lot of money, but I know several financial planners/advisors that are very good and have been at it for years in large metropolitan areas. This is how they shared it has worked for them.

Per Indeed.com: Average New York Life Financial Advisor yearly pay in the United States is approximately $88,584, which is 18% above the national average.

It is my hunch that finances are a concern for them at this time.

I was making the assumption based on being adjacent to that side of the industry for 17 years. Based on him earning the incentive trips.

IIRC his NYL office is not in NYC but Ohio or something? They visited driving to or from Chicago.

I am sure most of his clients will be fine with virtual. Of The weather management firms I am acquainted with that has very much become the norm.

But being commissioned and not fee based is a dying breed and there will always be stress each quarter to continue to earn.

How much money is he making? I’m not even sure what he does tbh. I can’t get past how annoying he is.

Can they afford to live in such a big place?

He is a financial advisor for new york life. Since he wins incentive trips that tells me he makes at least 250k churning client accounts with expensive annuities they don't need.

4 bedrooms make sense since they both work from home and are planning to have a baby. It's not like they are in a full on house with a study and a basement as potential offices.

No one has found her apartment yet? I expected more from this lot :)

Goal expert CEO has her shirt on inside out in her video today. So put together and professional, Laken.

She mentioned it in a vlog. So she realized it and didn't think she should refilm?

Considering Jen was in NYC and they didn't see each other tells me they are no longer pretending to be friends. I don't blame Jen.

I legit thought they were going to move into her mom's second apartment.

She recently bought in a new building so they don't have that anymore. Otherwise you know she would have.

I find it so tacky the way she films the orders coming in and yelling "crazy!". How many days of vlogmas has she done that? Too damn many.

So a serious question. Does everyone wake up and plan out every day to the hour and include things like getting ready? I am a list person but I don't plan out every hour unless something big is going on. Most days I just wake up and roll with life. I feel like I might be doing life wrong lol lol lol

I usually get up, get ready, make tea, and then sit down to make my list. Apparently I should go in my office first and write down AM routine before doing all the things I don't need a reminder to do. But I also manage to wash my face every night so theres that.

Also $50,000 or $75,000 is a lot of revenue but it’s not her profit after taxes. She’s been doing this for 3, 4 or 5 months. That’s max $25,000 per month compared to $35,000+ per month she earned in her Dr job.

$25,000 a month profit/$300,0000 a year for mixing up candles seems like a ton of money to me!!

    Revenue not profit.

I would assume she has not broken even yet or has yielded a very low profit but that's not uncommon.

Difference is we all know this is not a sustainable business.
