I wonder who- if anyone- went house hunting with her? I guess she must have been looking before the pandemic. Her parents? Missy? The Nail Technician that went along to Vegas? How Jen, of all people, coordinated this is mystifying.

I agree with the theory that it was an almost finished home and she chose the finishes. Often listings like that have photos of a display home or renders of what you could choose. Not sure about the legality of that in the USA but in Australia you rarely see photos of an actual new build in a listing.

I’d say Gravy has gone over all Jen’s finances and gave her a budget for the house and it’s probably quite a conservative budget because he seems like that type of person.

Jen knows exactly how to pick the right guy and reel him in. She hasn’t been single for long since the 90s. The new man saga will happen much sooner than many will expect.

I am with you, but not with the claw foot tub. I lived in multiple San Francisco apartments with them, and they are all gross. Our first home we purchased (on blood, sweat, tears and lots of saving and "how did we do this") we bought our first home in San Fransisco too. Another claw foot tub. It really is just gross, because the dust bunnies and mold and everything else will collect under them. They are not quaint or stylish or even historical, they were the best they had in the day, but now you can have a much more sanitary built in tub. Let's move on from the claw foot. And for the record, I am no pampered princess. When we bought that house we had an antique toilet (only one in our tiny house), and since it was antique it was costly to replace it. We had to replace a lot of the plumbing to replace the toilet. We couldn't afford that in the beginning, so instead I tried to clean it with toilet cleaner. The toilet laughed. I used bleach. Comet with Bleach. Ammonia. Considered a stick of dynomite. Then I moved on to the tool of champions. I sat on the bathroom floor while my baby napped and used a chisel and cleaned that toilet like it had never been cleaned before. I won that battle.

We no longer live in the city (the kids were born and we moved on to just outside) but I like the place we live now. And for the record, it wasn't so good when we bought it. It was a 4 bedroom bay area hovel in a lovely town, but I cried all the way home after purchase. That started the beginning of our remodeling journey, and we haven't stopped since then. Built in 1957, but bit by bit we are making it better.

Call me outdated, but I don't like the stand alone tubs. They look uncomfortable, and they make a bathroom look disjointed. Reminds me of open shelving in kitchens... it just creates visual clutter to my eye. Our neighbors just did a huge-took-forever renovation of their master bath and put one in. That said, we have a 2002 house that has a jetted tub and I admit it the thought grosses me out. I'd pull a Jen and just replace the tub but I've taken ONE bath since we moved in in January. I spend more time dusting it.

You can clean them by filling them up so the intake and jets are under water and then tipping half a bottle of bleach and switching the pump on for 20 minutes. It’s really annoying but will clear out all the stagnant water and floaty bits. 🤮

Jetted tubs or spa baths as we call them in Australia are revolting if you have baths without turning on the pump and even more revolting if you turn them on after they haven’t been used for awhile.

Social distancing rules are mostly getting lifted here next Saturday except for the hard state border so people will be able to go to the football again (if the other teams are allowed in) and stuff like that.

Does anyone think she's moving in with her parents? She did move from her parents house to her marital home (which she was so proud of?). It would also fit with her narrative to make Don seem mean/abusive for kicking her & the kids out during a pandemic.

She isn’t living with her parents.

New guy saga will be next. I’m off the lesbian phase train.

Gravy has really aged since last he sang operatically for us.

Yeah, I guess he was still late middle aged when he was tap dancing in vlogs, now he must be well into his 70s.

Having a drawn out moving process sounds horrible. She should have just left the kids with Suze for a few days a week over the last 2 months while she declutters and starts packing up rooms that aren’t vital. Then ask Bev and Scott to come up for a weekend to help and get everything moved within that one weekend.

It’s a headboard upholstered with woven fabric that have some shiny threads.

Jen is not a high backed sofa flush against the wall kinda gal.

Yep, almost certainly from Pottery Barn, they have several right now with different types of woven fabric. The diagional pattern and reflection was throwing me off, almost looked like faux snakeskin. I was almost hoping boring brown was replaced by GLAM Jen, but I don’t think so (copying Love Meg)

She seems to like matching things so it’s promising that the new furniture is all lighter and softer.

If she has SWF’d Glennon’s kitchen It might be a new build that wasn’t finished when she bought it so there might only be a listing with renders?

Jen’s SWF crush before Glennon is getting divorced.

I think she will be happier in a smaller house, less complicated, less space to pile up with junk.
Hopefully its too small for a home gym so she decides to join a local gym so she can at least meet a few other women that aren’t family or planner people. I know she won’t make friends but having a few other women to make small talk with before class starts would do her a world of good.
