I really believe Darlene hides a lot of the junk food that she buys. I wonder what else she bought in this haul that she didn't show?

Her view of what is healthy food is so skewed, she probably sees nothing wrong with what she showed. Probably thinks what is on the counter is reasonable. She absolutely does not get that most middle aged women are not having all the treats and "little somethings" that she does. If she has actually made some changes to her diet, imagine how unhealthy was it before!

She is shopping again because she needs produce and her Costco haul was 5 days ago. First, she didn't buy any produce at Costco, except grapes, and second they hardly eat anything fresh. She bought bags and bags of frozen seasoned vegetables just recently. Surely they haven't eaten all that. There is a big sale at Walmart, Darlene needs to get there and make sure she gets her share.

Now the haul: fatty sausages, 2 boxes of ice cream bars, nacho chips, muffins, pop, chocolate milk and cinnamon raisin English muffins. None of that is produce. :cant-believe-my-eyes-smiley-emo

6 cucumbers! They won't eat all that. At least half of them will get thrown out. 2 more bags of frozen potato chip things. She just bought many bags frozen potatoes, pre-made baked potatoes and 8 boxes of hash browns a week ago. But it is not worth buying a bag of potatoes because they don't eat them a lot?!? They eat tons of potatoes, all heavily processed to be more salty and fatty.

She is doing so good with pop that she opened a mini can and could not even drink it. If you can't drink it, why buy more? :being-confused-smiley-emoticon: And I am sorry, a 350 pound woman saying a mini can of pop is too much for her, is laughable.

All those berries, and Darlene portions out 3 at a time. No doubt they will get wasted too.

Darlene bought no-sugar ketchup to put on her high calorie, high fat processed French fries. WOW! I see she is well on her way in her journey to having a healthier relationship with food. ^U^

So another food haul and outlet shopping. Does she do anything but shop and eat?

All sorts of junk food, Doritos, cookies, aussie bites, protein milkshakes, coconut bars etc. She plans to weigh things out so she is just eating a portion. No Darlene! Don'teat that crap at all. Even if you are weighing it, all that stuff has too much sugar, fat, sodium and calories for someon who is supposed to be on a weight loss journey. This is never going to work for her because she cannot deny herself anything when it comes to food. So much for all the emotional work she supposedly did in the last year to fix her food issues. She needs food for when she feels like something crunchy or sweet, or a food pick me up. It is like a sickness the way she describes eating regular food, things are always amazing or sooooo good. She didn't have a gourmet meal, she had reheated baked potatoes from a grocery store. Listening to her describing drinking a pop last week was disturbing.

Her reasoning for getting new cups was ridiculous. It can leak when it gets tipped over? How many adults are knocking over drinks all the time? Here I am managing to drink out of regular glass with no lid or straw. And I am not too lazy to refill my glass when it is empty.

She picked up the burritos because she had not seen that brand before. What a dumb reason to buy something. You can see it in the store and not buy it. It's a crappy premade food she shoould not be eating. Same with the cereal protein drink. It wasn't what she wanted but she bought it anyway. Her FOMO is making her fat.

Those chicken burgers looked disgusting. Waiting for Darlene to say they were disappointing. Years ago my kids asked me to buy those dried potato things, they were disgusting. Went into the trash they were so salty. Too bad she bought so many packages of something they didn't like. But what does she care, it was probably Andrew's money. The disabilty cheques came out at the end of last week.I am sure that's why she did a big shop.

I do not understand the constant need for quick and easy meals. She is home all day every day. Why can't she cook? I work full-time and never eat that prepackaged crap she buys, like that stir-fired chicken or pre-made burritos. It doesn't take long to put a healthy meal together and we cook at home most of the time. I really think she needs all those ready made foods, not because she is busy, but because she is lazy. Can't be bothered to spend time each day to cook supper for her family. Even when being a homemaker is her chosen career.

Title suggestion, "No exercise in Dar's life of ease. Spends her days fondling cheese".
  5. .
It had been noted here that there were no zucchini, mushrooms or ice pops that Andrew likes to eat, in her many fridge tours. We'll, until she made a point of showing she bought ice pops last week. That would fit with Andrew not actually being there (aka living with Steve).

It is amazing that someone who claims to be sooooo busy she has no time to cook, has time to wander around the thrift store. Her house is stuffed to the rafters with crap. What could she possibly need? I cannot imagine a bigger time-waster for someone who needs absolutely nothing. She is looking at Capris?!? She has bins and bins of capris, that do not even fit in her closet. Why would she buy anymore? The fit of the Torrid shirt "wouldn't work" for her, uh yeah, because it is only XXL :XD:

When she is looking at the baskets she says she would like one with handles to carry stuff up and down the stairs. I can just picture Darlene lumbering up the stairs with her little Red Riding Hood basket :XD:

OMG, on the couch, still in the black shirt with even dirtier hair. Uh, Darlene, why don't you put some of that fancy bubble bath to good use and hose yourself down?
  6. .
Is she going to show anything other than food? I thought her channel was about her "journey as a woman". What a stunted journey. Are you sure that you really have a "healthy relationship" with food Dar? Listening to her discuss in minute detail everything she ate and going on and on about how she was "satisfied" doesn't sound like she has fixed all her food issues (Even though she says she worked on that over the past year). It's actually difficult to find the actual food in the processed protein bars, protein drinks and artificially sweetened coffee creamer.
    SPOILER (click to view)
I am 4 years older than Darlene and I have never bought or eaten a protein drink or bar. I also have never had a flavoured coffee creamer, and remember a time when they did not exist.

Today's video starts with her walking through Giant Tiger looking at clothes. Why would someone, who claims to already have lost weight in the past 2 weeks and who can already pull her 5x "goal pants" further up her legs, be bothering to look at clothes that she won't fit in a few weeks as the weight continues to fall off?

Then we are into another grocery haul. Why can she not eat vegetables unless they are dipped in something? Cucumbers are dipped in Buffalo cottage cheese and sweet peppers are filled with cream cheese. More sweet protein bars. I think she eats these when what she really wants is a chocolate bar. Just have a KitKat (218 cals.) Darlene. It would have less calories than that grenade bar (250 cals). Nine bags of frozen vegetables that she just said last week she does not care for. All the vegetables are heavily seasoned. Why can't she season them herself? Or just eat vegetables plain? Bonus, plain vegetables would not have the added soybean oil, sugar, modified corn starch and corn syrup like the Swanson vegetables. A lot of these things are for nights when she doesn't feel like cooking. Apparently she will cook these packages of vegetables "instead of ordering take-out". X)

Now an explanation of her main stores for groceries. One of them is Costco which is a several hours drive round-trip for her. If it is that far away it really should not be your go-to store. Less than 10 minutes in and I am shaking my head. She is already planning another shopping trip to get berries and apples at another store where they are on sale. And she has started a new Costco list. She was just there a week ago!

Freezer inventory. Why does someone who only has a small freezer in her fridge need a freezer inventory like this. Can't she just look in and see what she has? It's not that big.

If you are new here she is working on her healthy relationship with food and "learning how to feel her body". OMG! Does she listen to what she says

Let’s hear some “How I found the bakery” stories…

My daughter actually is the one who told me about the Gossip Bakery and she is also the one who saw one of Darlene's videos and told me about how horribly this lady treated her son with autism. I lurked for a long time before I actually posted.

...LOL, Darlene talking about how good potato chips tasted because she hadn't had any in a week - a whole, long week! It's amazing she even remembered what chips tasted like after the eons one week adds up to. I'm reminded of that time she claimed big bags of chips went stale in the Travis house because the three chip lovers couldn't eat them that quickly.....

I do not believe she can go a week without eating chips. She just bought 36 bags for a family of 3. No way those were all for Steve and Andrew. And the fact that she thinks going a week without chips is remarkable just shows how out of touch she is. I think most middle aged women, especially those who are trying to lose weight are not eating chips on the regular.
  8. .
She seems to be drunk in this video.

I am sure she cherry-picks which grocery hauls she shows. We know the Costco haul would be full of chips, processed crap, junk and "Aussie bites".

She claims that there is no processed food but I see chips, chocolate milk, popsicles, frozen home fries and 64 pots of sweet yogurt (13 grams of sugar each) and 8 pots of chocolate caramel yogurt (200 calories, 20 grams of sugar).

The real story of what they eat is shown in the fridge tour, pudding, fatty salad kits, packaged chicken stir fry, turkey bites, bacon, bacon bits, protein drinks, flavoured coffee creamers, pop, vegetable dips, cold foam, iced coffee drinks and bottles of salad dressing. Yeah, for sure Darlene you have gotten over your problem with processed food, Not!

The ice lollies are back! It had been mentioned here that they weren't in the freezer and she hadn't been buying them. All of a sudden they are back. Read here much Darlene?

I am a minute in and she is giving her entire bio again. How long is she going to keep saying she was a "military wife"? At this point this constant retelling of her life history is just filler to make her videos longer. Or is she drinking so much she can't remember what she has said. That story of the lady who walks down her street was repeated in the last 2 videos. I wonder if she will pull that one out again? There is nothing fresh or new about this content.

So I am a little behind. I am still working my way through the "what I eat in a day video". Listening to her couch chat at the beginning it is really just a list of excuses as to why she has blown up like a balloon in the last 4-5 years: Depression, anxiety, emotional eater, food addiction, Steve's retirement, kid's getting older, Steve being home all the time, Sarah being away at school, mother's dementia, Andrew's autism, doctor's appointments, the pandemic, bad days, home schooling? (we saw how she screwed that up). So all these things shoved potato chips and Starbucks into Darlene?

It was interesting she said that they first noticed her mom's dementia during the pandemic. Isn't this the same time she got pissed off about cooking for her mom and said she had to start cooking for herself again? I am surprised Darlene didn't like cooking for her mother because she just said a few video's ago that she loves to cook for crowds of 10 people. But I guess 10 other people, just not her mom.

We get treated to another rendition of Darlene's ancient history where she says she tried "crazy diets" in college. She said in an earlier video this week, that counting calories and watching her fat intake in college worked and she lost weight. There Darlene you just discovered the key to weight loss. It is all about calories in and calories burned! But says "it wasn't healthy or sustainable" because of how little she would eat. It wasn't healthy because you said you were eating rice and "100 calorie snack packs". Yes, Oreo snack packs have no nutritional value and won't fill you up. You could stuff yourself with the fresh produce, you claim to love, for a lot less calories then the crap we usually see you eat.

When she dieted she would "end up eating things she didn't enjoy" so she could not sustain it. The reality is she likes junk food. She cannot deny herself anything when it comes to food. It's not diet culture or any of the other excuses she offers. It all comes down to Darlene. Darlene's life revolves around satisfying her urges when it comes to eating, drinking and shopping. She has no impulse control at all. How many things like small appliances have we seen that disappear, never to be seen again. We are still waiting for her to wear her red plaid blazer that she impulsively bought.

She has always claimed her blood work was great (I never believed that). Her doctor saying she "wasn't too far gone" obviously meant her blood work was less than great. She looks like a metabolic mess with all that weight around her middle.

I think she has decided to lose weight now because she has sized out of the biggest size at Maurice's. Before she would always just buy the next size up. Every spring we see her buy a bunch of new blouses.

Starts her day with artificially sweetened chemical filled coffee creamer. Why can't she just have her coffee black or with milk? She doesn't "love" coffee. She loves all the sweet add-ins. She doesn't want to change too much at once? God Darlene, you are already 350+ at age 49. You need to make some drastic changes!

So the next thing she does in the morning is sit at her desk and do a "brain dump" and watch YouTube and tiktok. To mean that means she makes more lists while staring at a screen watching videos about other people losing weight. This would be a great time to go for a walk. She looks down on people for sponsored videos. Does she forget the free soft-drink fridge, the plus-size sexy underwear or the Teddy Blake bags? She is just pissed because she doesn't actually get offered any sponsorships.

Next, protein coffee. Why is she on a quest for protein? Just eat real food. There is no way that fills her up. She could make a really filling vegetable omelette for 200 calories. She would be full and actually get some nutrients from it. A protein bar? That is not the best way to start your day. She could eat so much more real food instead of that. I do not believe that fills her up. No wonder it doesn't hold her over until lunch, it is not a meal, it is a calorie-laden drink.

She is having salad with processed chicken bites for lunch. She is not looking at calories?! Look at the calories! She could have an entire roasted or grilled chicken breast instead of those processed bites for way less calories. She liked the chicken breast bite because it "added crunch". Add crunch with more vegetables like carrots or celery. She liked that the chicken made it seem like a fast food meal? isn't that what she should be getting away from? She burned the chicken. I am not surprised. :D: She ate all the chicken and wasted part of the salad.

In the afternoon she "works on fluids". Still no exercise. If her lunches are working so well for her, why does she need something at 3-4? She wasn't hungry, was feeling "full and satisfied from lunch" but she had something. If you are not hungry, just don't eat. Don't treat food as a "pick me up".

All this crap about "looking forward" to meals. If her life was not so empty she would not have this need to have food to "look forward to" and "satisfy" her. She has not worked on any of the emotional aspects of her eating, despite saying that is what she did over the last year. Get a life Darlene, maybe then you would stop thinking about food.

...If Darlene is using a weight loss med (or gets surgery), what will be really interesting is when she gets hit with Ozempic face...

Wow. She already looks like droopy dog. Imagine her face even droopier!
  12. .
She's 49 years old and she "just figured things out in the last 48 hours"!?!

I am less than 2 minutes in. I wonder what the big revelation will be? I imagine the same old shit she's been spewing for years.
  13. .
I think Darlene wastes so much money. Haircut, colouring and manicures are just a start. She is constantly shopping. She wastes/throws out/let's rot and freezer burns a lot of food. She is always changing out small appliances. She has had several different air fryers, countless different devices to make coffee and froth milk. She is on her third car since I started watching her channel. I think she single handedly keeps the textile business in China going with the number of blankets, pillows, table cloths and stuffed toys she buys.

Even though she claims she can "afford things" that some other people can't. I think they don't have a lot, if any, saved. A few years ago she was in a flap about how they would pay for a $600 car repair. That doesn't sound like she is rolling in money.

Hahaha! I'm pretty sure old Darbucks thinks her dogs 💩 doesn't stink...but having good beef is the important thing so too bad for everyone else in the neighborhood. Lol!

I imagine she has trouble smelling her dogs over her own smell. She is not a fan of showering or washing her hair. How many times have we seen her doing a couch chat with greasy hair? (Almost every couch chat has greasy hair :snickering: )

    QUOTE (Welcomefiends @ 14/4/2024, 13:27)
I'm still reading, but thought of a question. Is it possible that Steve is drawing a military pension while working at the same time? I have no clue about how that works, especially in Canada. If so, that could explain the extra money that Darlene is able to spend. Also if he was owed back pay, that could explain the cheap home renovations that they did. Just a theory 🤷‍♀️.

I am sure Steve has a military pension he would be getting since he retired. I am sure that was what sustained them during the pandemic when Steve was "working from home". We later found out he was actually unemployed. Just another of Darlene's lies.

I think it is hilarious that Darlene erased all the evidence, but we have so many screen shots saved here. All it has done is made us go and dig up all the cringy things she has said/done.
