| Maybe she was lying but I remember her being very proud that she could mark "save 10K" off her "before baby checklist". I believed that part just due to how braggy she was. She thought she was hot shit being able to save that much. Whether it was retirement money or savings, who knows. I remember we sat back and laughed because she acted like it was a million dollars when they should have already had 10K saved just in case.
At this point though, if they don't have 10K saved after her bragging about it a long time ago and also after being debt free this long, they have some serious money management problems. |

| They have a little more than 10K saved as far as I can tell from what she's indicated. She bragged about saving 10K when it happened. They don't intend to pay cash for a house and she has said that in the past.
If they could afford a house, they would have one by now. |

Glitter and Groceries seems to have a much better work ethic. Jamie comes across bitter about things. Anyone recall the smug comments that seemed to insinuate that everyone with designer bags or more expensive things was obviously in debt. Like it didn't even cross her mind that people could actually have money for expensive items. |

My priority for only having one car was to save for a (better) house. It worked. It sucked, sure, but the endgame was worth it. And whenever I wanted to go out I did, even if it meant driving my husband to work. I also worked too after he got home. You sacrifice for what you want. They clearly want no better then what they have now. Hence the $1,000 couch and "fixing up" a rented home.
I disagree with this last part. Her claim to be "high middle class" and the like are all signs that deep down she knows they aren't that great off and she feels like she has to put on a show to keep up with the joneses to some degree. If they were totally content, we'd have much less of her smug bravado. She's discontent. That's not to say that she is going to do anything about it however. |

| Hi all, so my previously saved password got deleted and so I rebranded. Hi from the former Crumb Manager.
I wouldn't see a problem with them only having one care if she didn't have a baby at home. There's no way I would want to be stranded at home all day with a baby. I would be setting up play dates and joining activities.. ohh wait. This is Jamie we are talking about. There's no way she would be doing those thing even with a second car. We all theorized for month that her car wasn't working because she never drove it anymore. I think they've been down to one car forever anyway.
Also, she got a Nokia phone that retails for what? less than $200 when her other phone was much more expensive. Yeah, that really speaks volumes to me.
It has me really side eyeing this new job think. |
