Didn’t this all start because her husband wanted a Tesla? She’s acting like this is all her.
Also, it’s disgusting that she used her daughter to try to get their attention.

The fact that her elevens came on so hard and fast says quite a bit about how miserable/angry she has become.
I’ve never seen someone get them so quickly, deep as they are.
Mine are deep, but it took years of bitterness to build them to wear they are today😂

I haven’t read the book but I might be mistaken but isn’t it considered a “how our marriage survived” book? Except...it didn’t. Lol I have tried to read some of Glennon Doyle’s blog before & it was way too wordy & flowery for me. No wonder Jen loves her.

Yes, Glennon wrote it as a “I have the secret to keeping a marriage going through struggle” for her Christian fan base. Then right before the book came out she came out and was dating Abby.
That woman will pander to whatever audience is spending money and has no shame in it. She’s a fake all the way around. In a few years she will probably be a Scientologist or something, whatever makes her money is who she becomes. It was funny watching her bible beaters get into an uproar about it though.

Does Jen want Don to cheat on her so she can dump him and wear matching Umbros with her professional soccer player bride?

    Thank goodness you said it.
Glendon was hawking that damn book as she was writing it acting like everything was fine. Jen doesn’t get it.

Soo, she’s a single mom now? Oh Landyn, just because your husband had to work that does not allow you to use the words single mom.

I may be a very odd one out but I don’t think any of it is fishy at all.

People have to work and I would have much rather had my kid celebrate on her actual birthday than wait around for husband to be home. Perhaps that’s why they went to dinner the night before?

I don’t think any of the girls parents minded they were in a suite by themselves or else they wouldn’t have been able to go.

My step bro and a friend gladly stayed with my step mom in a room in a similar situation.

This is one thing I have absolutely so snark or criticism about. I think she did an awesome thing and I have to give credit where it is due, even if I don’t like a person.

Parents have to be away from actual birthdays for a myriad of reasons. I really don’t think it’s a big deal and I’m sure it was made up to her, or will be. I bet they do something else as a family today.

You also have to remember the ages-it’s not like having to watch over a bunch of toddlers or elementary school kids. I don’t think she would have done this if she didn’t KNOW the kids well and know they all act well.

I completely agree. Why would I want my dad at my fifteenth birthday party? Most girls wouldn’t. And they were right down the hall from Landyn, not staying alone. It seems pretty normal to me.

So Landy is taking a group of her kids' friends on an overnight trip and Steve is not there to help supervise and celebrate? That is so suspicious. Even if he has to "work" (what is his job anyway???), why did they not do it over the summer on a night when he was available, so he could room with the boys and she could have roomed with the girls? He is literally never around! Instead, the girls are unsupervised and SHE is sharing a room with the boys! There is no way my son at that age would have gone away with a friend and shared a room with his mom! This whole weekend seems fishy to me.

Luke looks older, but he’s only 12. So I think it’s appropriate that he be supervised.

Can you imagine how mortified her children must be? There are certain things that do not need to be blasted on the internet when you have tweens and teenagers.

Minnesotan here. She was trying to get noticed in MN well before they moved to Nashville. Their 9000+ square foot, beautiful house was photographed for Midwest Home in 2013. She volunteered to redecorate the local Fox 9 morning show set around the same time.

My Facebook memories today included one where I was recommending her page to help her get to 1500 followers. That was in 2013. I’m embarrassed about it now, but back then she was almost normal.

I don’t understand her. Teslas are a dime a dozen in the Houston area. Nobody even looks twice at them, it might as well be a Camry. Why is she always so far behind the times, yet thinks she is on the edge of something trendy?

She doesn’t get that the buyers for Target are not going to be impressed with her scatter brained “brand”. These are business people, Landyn. Not fan girls.

I’ve been hesitant to say this, but my mom wore those capris from Lands End to the beach last month. She is super fit but hates her legs so they were good for her.
She looked adorable! And they kept her cool. She felt so cute and they looked cute, paired with a spaghetti strap swim top that also covered her.
That’s how you do it right. Granted, my mom is 65 years old, 5’1 and under 100 pounds, but they can work for some people.
Jen looked like she was ready to go skiing, not swimming with that ridiculous rash guard.
Sorry, I just needed to defend the swim pants for certain situations.

I think it’s ridiculous that Judith has allowed all of this to go on for so long. My therapist told me right off the bat that the goal was to NOT see him, and if I ended up there forever, it wasn’t working.
Seems like therapy 101 to me.

I believe he inherited a million or two, given their lifestyle. The thing is, a million or two doesn’t go very far unless you are quite frugal when you are retired (which he is). So rather than going to work he is hedging his bets on interest and investments.
My dad was a millionaire but grew up during the depression so he drove a Kia and used coupons. Kind of an extreme version of the book The millionaire next door (which everyone should read, it will teach you that the real millionaires aren’t buying jets).
So while I do believe he inherited that much, he does not choose to spend it well, as in not maintaining their home which is an asset, and instead choosing to lease Jaguars. I think that’s what Midwest is trying to get through.

    I agree
But having a million at retirement age ( 67?)
Is a lot different that mid 40’s
Most attorneys can make major $$$$ in their 40’s..50’s and would not quit working that young,,,,I think he is a failure as an attorney

I agree, he should have kept working. I mean, a million at 67 isn’t going to get you that far, either. If he had kept working they could keep the air on and live in the manner they pretend to. Instead, he forced them into this burned out she shed shit show. (Referring to the tree house in the backyard)

Didn’t Jack chew that stupid green hat she wears ALL the time?

That has ALWAYS bothered me- it seemed like a lie when she said that. Looks more like she took a razor to it and folded it up so it looked worn.

Not an issue, but is anyone interested in snarking on The Small Things blog? It appears gomi has locked both her and her sister’s threads.

She seems benign, but is such a spoiled complainer.

YES! I have so many thoughts and no place to say them! I don’t understand why her thread got locked, people post the same type of info on other threads and are fine.
