Pittsburgh has some great neighborhoods but I kind of wouldn't trust a flipped house in all honesty just on principle but I know I'm weird.

I've heard of some people selling their property, then moving to a rental so they're not on a time crunch to find a new house to buy. Then you have to move twice within a relatively short period of time (even if it takes a year) and it sucks ass to do it once, never mind knowing you'll have to do it twice.

We sold our house last August and live in our 42’ fifth wheel now. We travel full time, but part of the reason was to sell the house high and then not be forced into buying right away. We are looking for land to build on but we are in no rush and can just save cash while waiting out this insane real estate bubble. Bonus is we get to see some amazing parts of the country and chase 70 degree weather.

I love cherry pie a’la mode. Mr Seemingly Sweet HATES cherries though, so we rarely have it.

We live in an RV but we have a trendy, light colored, vinyl plank. I don’t hate it, but when we build, I’ll be doing LVP throughout in a more neutral wood look color.

We just got to an RV park in Montana, I was out walking my dog and saw this beautiful Bengal cat outside in a cage! Apparently they take him on walks too… I’m not a cat person, but this one was so unique looking.

    That cat is beautiful!!!!!

Isn’t it? Amazing that they travel with him full time! I can just imagine vanlife Jen trying to travel with Winnie in a Van because Aunt Julie is sadly no longer available to her…

As a former vegetarian for several years, I gotta say the recent cookout I went to smelled AMAZING :mocking_smiley_emoticon:

I don't eat a huge amount of meat these days but when I do have some, I definitely enjoy it like I enjoy anything else. But I also enjoy the unintentionally vegan meals I put together too :dunno:

I'm on the bus that the fake veganism that Jen was doing was a form of disordered eating, given her pattern.

I get that. Did you grow up eating meat and enjoying it though? I was a super picky eater growing up and basically Vegetarian on accident, then officially in my teens I labeled myself as Vegetarian and learned about protein sources and how to eat a balanced diet without meat. But I guess I never developed a taste for meat and to this day, there are several kinds of meat that I haven’t even tasted and don’t care to. If it smells disgusting to me, I’m not going to give it a taste. My sister is exactly opposite of me and our Dad is somewhere in between, he eats mostly Vegetarian now after cancer.

Some of us still love our families and do not cook meat for them. As someone who never learned to cook meat and who doesn’t really enjoy cooking in general, it would be a disaster. The adults in my family take turns cooking and they are fine eating meatless meals.

The problem with Jen is that we have literally years of video of her cooking meat, shoving her whole arm up a turkey, etc. Blathering on about delicious meat meals they had, etc. Then abruptly changing to “plant based” to suit her eating disorder and then banishing Dons meat to the garage because she couldn’t bare to look at it. She’s a nut job but I guess that’s why we are all here.

Melissa Parada is a weirdo and her older husband has teen kids from his first marriage. Total creep! Her mother inherited a bit of money after her parents passed and she blows through it spoiling Melissa with junky home decor at all the chain stores. Melissa had to list her house that she’s only been in for a couple years because she overspends. The market was hot and now they are downsizing. Her vlogs are so boring and lack effort that she isn’t even worth snarking on most of the time.

Damn they did sell good in this hot market. Bought for 250K and sold/listed for 750K or so. Damn who paid so much for outskirts of Phoenix, not even Scottsdale. N the heat. I lived there for 5yrs. Never ever will I visit Phoenix again. :strong_no_smiley_emoticon:

We were in the Phoenix area for a couple weeks in November and it was lovely! I couldn’t imagine being there in the summer though!

Circling back to the Meat Video:

She respects everyone's choices, and just asks that they respect hers. But she will be making only plant based food for her family. They can cook their meat if they want to supplement. Because no one needs animal protein. :hi-computer-smiley-emoticon:

I watched the Fall Gathering video from 2018 and she's going on and on about not going to be able to make the roast Turkey anymore. Suzanne has volunteered to make it, she might just take her up on her offer.

Genuine question: Is it typical for vegans (not that she's even a vegan) to not want to be anywhere near any dairy or animal products? Because Jen is acting like they're kryptonite.

I know a lot has been said about the Rosses around here, but I have to give it to them. The amount of bending over backwards and tiptoeing around fragile, narcissistic Jen is quite commendable. If she were my daughter in law and started acting like this, I would probably try to whittle down my interactions with her down to the barest minimum. I just can't.

If you are an ethical vegan then yes being around animal flesh makes them uncomfortable. If your just a vegan or vegetarian because of health or a fad then no.

I’m vegetarian and have been vegan before at times but NOT for ethical reasons at all. I married someone who enjoys hunting even. The smell of meat cooking and also handling certain types of meat is disgusting to me and that has nothing to do with opinions or beliefs about the meat industry.

It never occurred to me before about this aspect of blended families: CC and Donny’s father will spend more time with his young step-children than he will w/ his own offspring. I imagine since their Dad lives so far away, Tens has primary custody. With the children being so young, that would be very painful to have to share your father to the point of them getting more time with him than you get.

Good point and later in life, I could definitely see this causing resentment. Mr Seemingly Sweet’s brother has a blended family, they got married when the kids were youngish (5,6,7) after dating for less than a year. The extended family makes it a point to treat all of the children the same, but I’ve often thought of the fact that the biological child has been in everyone’s lives since birth, so 5+ years of milestones etc. that the other children didn’t get with those family members. The non-biological children also have a father who lives out of state, so they get more time than his biological daughter does. Now that they are teens, they are resentful and aware of favoritism. It’d not been an easy few years for them even with counseling, etc.

I’ve been Vegetarian since my teens and I’m Jens age. I still eat dairy and eggs, they don’t bother me. But certain meat, and especially while been cooked, really disgusts me. I don’t even do it for ethical reasons! It just smells disgusting to me. I don’t banish it from our kitchen though. I actually do not know how to cook meat and have no clue how to determine if it’s “done” and have no desire to learn. So I don’t cook it, if my husband wants it, he will make it. But unlike Jen, I had a career in my 20s and early 30s, my husband knew he wasn’t getting a domesticated wife when he married me.

In other news : thanks to the person who recommended Zoey Arielle - I am loving the Bali videos and I hope Jen jumps on that bandwagon. I mean Jen should jump on the wellness tourism bandwagon. She is rich. Just go to a different spa every weekend and vlog it. Do yoga outside in nature. And vlog it. Hike in nature and vlog it. Eat watermelon in a park and vlog it. Seriously Jen : what are you doing with your life ?

Yay! That was me. We now have a thread for her. Please visit. She's a completely different woman now than when she lived in Italy and seemingly had her shit together.

Oh and I'll add something about Gene: She really needs to throw all of her self-help books in a bonfire and never buy another one again. They are trash and at best are a waste of time, but are harmful to weak people like Gene. She threw her marriage away with the encouragement of a self help book and the pathetic thing is that she's not the only one who's done this with G Doyle's books.

I have personally seen so many women my age (same as Tens/Jen) who have subscribed to this bullshit nonsense Glennon Doyle, et al, promote. Everytime I see someone post about these types of books, I cringe and think of the destruction it caused for Gene. (Being the straw that broke the camels back, not the complete reason)

Good day all. We are on the road from central FL to NC to pick up this girl. Not ideal driving conditions with tropical storm Claudette but the result will be worth it. I will check in periodically to see if any signs of life for the former Mrs. Ross

    Clover is her name

So sweet! We drove to Costa Mesa from Palm Springs to pick up our pup 6 months ago! The ride home was so fun holding a tiny puppy. Enjoy!

Wonder...what ever happen to her Christmas cards. I wonder if girlfriend at the time took pics of Don and the kids and he was going to send them out and her cards just would look stupid to be sent to his work, friends and family.
Another note Don needs a babysitter. Don't came from a house that he probably did nothing before marriage. Then married and hired out any manly thing. Cutting grass, hanging anything, come on Jenn went and picked up the stupid wood, she is the one that called a plumber. She took care of that house. He worked, socialized, golfed. There were stupid parties for family and vacation was with family or disney. They went business to Italy. He bought her stupid over priced stuff and feed her into being hush. It was hush money, look pretty money, be a good wife money,
Don is not a good man and I feel sorry for his kids.
And Jenn I hope she does get help she is still young. She needs a year off and get her hoarding and life together. I wish her well I truly do its just a shame she needs someone from the Internet or book to push her to be a better person.

Are you saying Don isn’t a good guy because he hired out “manly” tasks? A person of his status is expected to golf, socialize and leave the dirty jobs to the hired staff. I don’t knock him for that. Jen liked calling the plumber and making phone calls for odd jobs because it helped her appear to be a “busy bee”

From what we’ve seen, which is undoubtedly a highlight reel, Don doted on her, waited on her hand and foot for literally years while only expecting that she “take very good care of him” Have you not seen the drunken Don defending Jen video? I think Don’s political views are disgusting, but I don’t think he was a bad husband or father.

I got it too! Then when you click on it, NADA.

Her content is so illusive, it makes me wonder.

    Wait a damn minute...

I think it was determined a few threads back that when someone shares to a restricted audience, the notification alerts everyone following, but then it’s only viewable by the intended audience.

Because he was trying to prove that he was actually polyamorous and not just jumping into another semi-exclusive relationship. He wanted to at least seem like he was trying to really live that “420 friendly hypersexual-Dom poly” lifestyle.

Seems risky if someone was openly madly in love several months earlier.

Maybe Don wasn’t “madly in love” at the time? Maybe he was trying to not repeat the same mistake of marrying the first person (Jen) who gave him the time of day? Maybe the tinder profile was not his first and we just never saw the first profile here? Or maybe he was just trying to prove something to someone with the 2019 tinder profile?

Why Tinder in 2019 if you started seeing people in 2018? That seemed to be a brand new profile.

Idk, I can't see Jen agreeing to polyamory. She can't even share a hash brown, let alone a rich husband...

Because she’s a selfish brat who wanted the appearance and lifestyle he afforded her without having to put out. It was a win-win for her until she started reading Glennon Doyle.

    QUOTE (Yetta @ 19/6/2021, 23:21)
As far as Don the husband, not Don the citizen, his worse flaw in their marriage was seeing good in Jen. He believed her. He wanted to make her happy, no matter what it took. He thought that indulging her would make her happy. He thought that her "little hobby" would make her happy. He thought that with love and patience, she would get over her "problems", grow up and be a good mother. He thought that she would throw herself into motherhood with the same enthusiasm that she threw herself into holiday decorating. He was wrong. He helped create a selfish monster who was used to getting her way.

    All of this.

I do agree with this but I also think Don is a pretty simple man and despite everything else, Jen withholding access to wonderland was what led to the downfall of their relationship.

I think that in an effort to save their marriage and stay together for the kids, they agreed to an open marriage soon after Donny was born. I remember others speculating about the “polyamory” situation and thinking it was crazy, but now I’m a believer. I think he started seeing other people as soon as October 2018 while keeping up appearances to the Fam Jam and on her socials. She was never really ok with it and I think Glennon Doyle, et al made her realize it and initiate the official separation and divorce.
