Pinterest pins appears there will be a shared girls room. Please let it be for CC.

I’d have the girls sleep in 1 bedroom and the boys in another. In case of a fire I wouldn’t want them spread out in different rooms. Then have a separate playroom and a separate study room.

I see that. This house is amazing, but the basement looks very adult or suitable for older kids. Especially since there are 3 saunas... I’d worry about little kids down there. But, the kids floor in this house has the loft as well as the huge rec room. It would be fun to have bunks/playroom for when the cousins visit too! This house would totally be the “fun” house that all the kids and adults would want to hang out at.

Another thing I was thinking, imagine how T's life would change. She doesn't seem to come from the privilege that Jen had from the beginning. Jen married a wealthy man and never had to work, had a housekeeper, vacations, free time, etc. T's previous marriage was not like that. It was probably a low-to-middle class family with her ex-husband working a regular job, and her having to take care of the house and the kids, just like most people do. And now she is entering this new life in a beautiful big house in which she never has to work again. There will be housekeepers and nannies, spas and vacations, luxury cars, designer handbags and clothing, exquisite jewelry, personal training in her own gym, botox, fillers and cosmetic surgery and whatever else she wants. And it's true what somebody else said here that money can help you tolerate a lot of things in your spouse.

Bingo. Tensleigh won the Tinder lottery.

OK I like this one, every kid gets his/her own room. No having to move again when the kids get a bit older.

I really like this one too! Don would totally love that putting green and outdoor entertaining area!

The house next to me was flipped by a relatively minor real estate investor. I about fainted when I saw the price. Insane. IMHO totally overpriced. I'll be curious to see what happens.

Does anyone know if Zillow price estimates can be gamed or inflated? All the flipper did was deep clean, paint, repair some plumbing and electric, and remove every speck of garden so that there's only grass left (post-apocalyptic landscape) yet Zillow says it's worth what he's asking yet the SEV for taxes says it's WAY off. My neighborhood has all different styles of homes and sizes and ages.

Sorry for the off-topic but if the house next to me sells for what he's asking I will be stunned and whoever buys it will be screwed.

Did you check a price estimate for your own home on Zillow?
My home value is a lot lower on Zillow , than what it would sell for. So I don’t think it’s really accurate.

Zillow Zestimates are not accurate due to not having enough data typically. They pull what would be comps but their algorithm doesn’t take into account specific factors about the homes, such as remodeling. It looks at zip code, square footage and lot size. Now if there were thousands of sales in that particular zip code, it could very well be close to accurate. But most zip codes don’t have enough sales for it to be. A true Comparative Market Analysis by a realtor would be more accurate. And don’t get me started on Bank Appraisals.

NordstromS annoys the shit out of me.

To be fair, they did change their name in the 1940s, but unless you’re old enough to remember that, it’s Nordstrom, no S

There used to be local Walmart-style store called Caldor and everyone called it “CaldorS”

    Also, it’s NORDSTROM not NORDSTROMs

    It's not.
Looking at the pictures and the description it has:
master and 3 add'l bedrooms on upper levels, plus a basement level room shown as a gym that could be the 5th bedroom
dedicated office on main level plus an existing built in office nook near kitchen
living spaces include living room, family room and sunroom on main level, plus family room, game room and playroom in basement
Lots of space to get away to when siblings are on your nerves!
And large main laundry on 2nd level with a 2nd W/D near back door so very convenient for pool towels

But does it have a claundry? 🤪

I doubt it! Hopefully it has a laundry chute at least for Dons massive clothes, the master is on the third story! And there is a basement too, lots of stairs with little kids...

A starter home is for 20-29 year olds
They are almost 40 and are ready for a finishing home.

Sure, traditionally. But it seems to me Tens is a bit of a troll .. I could absolutely see them upgrading when the kids are a bit older. Maybe something with ensuite bathrooms for the girls/kids. I definitely don’t think whatever they buy will be their forever home (if they even stay married that long).

That house has two additional bedrooms with en-suite baths on the second floor and then also a third full bathroom on that level. It’s an older home and might be a bit quirky in layout in my opinion. This is a huge step up for Tens.

She hasn’t changed her name on Facebook though!! Why do you think she hasn’t??

Because facebook is for older people who couldn’t possibly understand their new modern family? And/or would be pissed that they weren’t invited to the courthouse/small celebration... maybe she doesn’t want to field all the comments from her FB “friends” until they’ve closed on the house and have a reception date solidified? Totally projecting here, I’m her age and those would be my reasons.

Would 5 bedrooms be enough? Five kids in four bedrooms would be tight, no room for a guest room. Yuck.

It has the potential to transform into her “dream house” All 5 children will be part time in their home, going back and forth between the other parents houses. So I could totally see a fun shared bedroom/tree fort, sleepover type room situation vs dedicated rooms for each child.

    For instance:
    bedroom 1- girls shared room
    bedroom 2- boys shared room
    bedroom 3- nursery
    bedroom 4- guest room

Plus, it has an office and workout room. She could make a little kitchen desk when she remodels that dated kitchen. I don’t think Tens obsessively works out, she doesn’t need to because she’s naturally slim unlike Jen. So maybe the workout room could be repurposed?

Hmm, another pending listing in Glenview. It has a pool, and her pinterest suggests they are looking at a house with a pool. It's also on a golf course which obviously Don would like. There's a little fenced in garden plot, which would appeal to a family that cooks, and big basement game/play area. Only 5 bedrooms, but again...pins make me think they are looking at some shared bedroom situations

OMG that pool area is amazing. But is there no law/whatever in IL saying you have to fence your pool in?

Gene 1.0, I guess we're just going to talk about your replacement while you remain silent&stewing.

I had that same thought about the pool fence...

I googled it. No. Just no, and they don’t even bleach them!!! I won’t even mix clothes in with my dish towels because I don’t want the germs to mix in the washer!

Yep, because many of the people who use the family cloth think that bleach is tOxiC and only clean with essential oils.
