I’ve driven from Minnesota to Montana and Minnesota to colorado. Minnesota to Iowa etc. I think she is severely under estimating how exhausting driving that many days in a row will be. I can only do two days being the only adult. For me it’s not safe. And she’s far lazier than I am so this will be the most “work” she’s done in years We've driven cross country quite a few times between military moves (we have pets and they don't pay to move them) and back to visit friends and family. It literally feels like you ran the distance at the end of the day. The only thing we really needed were tablets and headphones for the kids and my gigantic coffee mug to refill at gas stations.
I used to drive from West Alabama(right next to MS stateline) to Norfolk Va with a toddler, when my husband was in the Navy, always did it in one day, hard driving, but I just want to get it done, more recently, from home to Iowa to visit family and a former friend(don’t ask, just know they turned out to be an ass), it takes about 14 hours if you stop a lot, I did it one time in 10 hours and 45 min. I finally had my route and stops just right, the trick is to hit St Louis traffic at just the right time😉 and those trips, I did alone. They way things have gotten over the past 3 or 4 years, I am wary about traveling alone……people done gone crazy😂😵💫. I am sure precious will drive no more than 8 hours a day, and will be bed ridden by the time they get home. |

But if I was doing something for my teen daughter who lived states away … I would want it to be a special mom and her type of date to do something . I agree about Paige’s birthday. Isn’t Paige near Chicago. Get tickets to a show, go to an actual spa for a massage and facial, go to a fancy dinner, go to a fancy shopping mall and let Paige pick out a designer purse or something that will last her her adult life.

| | Lemon better start watching the news, the housing market is owing to tank, probably like back in 2008/09 and Marks industry will take the biggest hit. Now, I know the news isn’t nearly as exciting as movies and video games, but us grownups watch. Hell, it wouldn’t hurt for her spoiled brats to watch. 3-6 months of expenses is suggested in a savings account, she hasn’t got 3-6 hours in savings. I have never seen anyone so damn reckless. A relative lost her job last week, she managed some apts (we saw it coming, just sooner than we thought, she wasn’t doing it properly) Unless he is a partner in that business, Marks job is not secure and Lemon will be a sorry ass daughter if she expects her parents who served this country and work full time jobs in addition to their military retirement to pay her bills. |

Well, not going to defend Lemon school, I do watch another homeschool mom in Alaska, she teaches the boys 2 classes on one day, 2 on another day, but they also use a faith based curriculum and participate in a homeschool group. She also actually teaches, she is right there with them, it can be done. I bet those kids were being bullied because of Lemons channel and all the crap she shares and instead of walking away and getting a REAL job, dumbass pulled the kids out of school. Oh and just how f*@king lazy do you gave to be to serve uncrustables, it took me 30 seconds to make a pb&j yesterday…. |
