So, historically, Jen did have many pairs of running shoes - indoor, outdoor, cold/snow, etc. She had special snow ones for Utah and also had an attachment she could wear (like elastic crampons) in case of ice/snow. I'd be shocked if she didn't already have a new pair in reserve. She also had special walking shoes, not to be confused with running shoes.

She did also have a gait analysis done a long time ago. I think she talked about it in one of her running story videos before she ran her first half marathon. She was very pleased with the fact that her gait was "near perfect" or some bullshit.

For all of Jen's faults, I'll give her credit for inspiring me to run half marathons. I even ran a race at disney world because it looked like fun - it was! I figured, if that chick can make it through training and a race, I certainly can!

Running is great, I miss it.
My knees are bad because of it now. But running at "a theme park in Anaheim" sounds horrible to me! I had much rather run or walk somewhere with a beautiful view.

I don't mean to offend, but this is honestly something I will never understand.

I get it. I'm not a runner but I have checked out some Disney runner's vlogs. It's like any other marathon. You aren't going for the scenery. You are going to be a part of the spectacle. It's a fun, festive event. Not something they do everyday. You go for the camaraderie with fellow runners and to have fun. Groups of friends meet up to run together every year. Some groups dress up in matching themed costumes. Some Disney characters are there. Disney gives out cute medals to the participants to collect. Once the run is over you go enjoy yourself at the the Parks. If I were a runner, I would do it.

OMG, that is glorious. I hope she bought the house in the winter when there was snow on the ground and didn't realize what she was getting herself into. I know somebody who bought their house in February who didn't know the entire front and back yard was literally a giant sticker patch with no grass. Can you imagine Jen trying to do her own yard work?

Jen’s not doing her own yard work no matter what.

I’ll be surprised if Jen gets above 1.1m.

I'm with you on that one.

The fireplace in the old house is the most hideous fireplace I have ever seen. I have a visceral reaction every time I see it.

That's how I feel about her new bathroom

Amen to that. The bathroom tile would have been ripped out immediately. It is maddening hideous.

Personally, I don't like all that false advertising in Missy's photos. Unless she sets up spotlights in the windows, once prospective buyers get to the house they are going to see how dark it actually is. I get putting your best foot forward but she took brightness to a whole 'nother level. 😎

The thing that annoyed me the most about that old fireplace (aside from the fact that it was just fugly) was the assymetry. The cut out on the left is larger than the one on the right, and it made me irrationally angry.

I don't like the middle stone. It looks like a blob. Nothing interesting about it. I would have used a more aesthetically pleasing stone there and not carried other stone up to the ceiling. It is just too much stone to look at on that wall.

Is that her sectional still at the old house? I am not sure it is. It looks lighter colored tanish leather. Wasn't hers a darker brown fabric?

it's the same one. colors are a bit off in the pics due to editing

    1500x1000

Wow, Missy must have the brightness turned up 1000x corona sun level on the photos. I just looked at Jen's final video tour and the couch looks so much darker. As well as the fireplace. I think Missy cleaned it.

Are my eyes deceiving me or did Missy color the stone on the fireplace? It looks lighter from what I remember. Or was it always that color?

So, she left the marital bed, the fart-filled ugly brown sectional and CC’s bed and pretty butterfly curtains. I must say the living room looks like a house again rather than a retirement or funeral home. Still think the price is out of control too high.

Aw, this made me nostalgic. I first found Jen from her packing videos. She would always pile things on her trunk ahead of time. And, hang her dresses on the bed frame. Screenshot_2020-07-06_at_3

    Same.

Back then I was traveling a lot and into watching people pack for trips. Loved seeing what things people brought with them to various places. The suitcases they had and how they packed them. Packing nerd stuff. 🤓

It's hard to get a good screenshot & it requires real eagle eyes, but there is more baseboard in the IG story with Donny than there is in the listing pic of the laundry room with the door frame. I hereby declare that Jen moved it & likely built herself a claundry

That is an interesting observation. Dang, nothing slips pass some of you guys.

The mud room is small to have them in there. If they fit better somewhere else, I would move them too. I would rather have the mud room with some cabinets and shelves. And somewhere to hang coats and such.

Now I am going to have to go over pics to try to figure out where she could have carved out a laundry room

To be fair, I think most women are obsessed about their weight to some extent. Those of you who are not, then hats off to you. I wish I didn't care about my size.

I loved being a size 6. But I got older and my ass got fatter. But you best be sure if I ever got back down to that size I would be styling and profiling in front of a mirror too in some ugly shorts or whatever. I just wouldn't expect anyone else to care.

Fair, but would you be posing on Instagram?

No. But I was addressing the person who asked the question "Why is she obsessed with being size 4?" My answer was, she is a woman and most of us care about being thinner." For me my dream is being a size 6 again (never gonna happen). For Jen apparently it is a size 4. She wouldn't be the first woman squeezing her ass into clothes that don't fit her.

Jen is desperately trying to brag about weight loss with that OLD NAVY summer dress and now this shorts and dancing setup, why is she obsessed with being size 4? maybe her mom who was ballerina always pressured her about sizing?

What is the point of that selfie? Shorts and a top. Okay, big deal. Is that what is passing for content these days?

I think the point was to confirm we have the right house and she didn't switch out the sparkly crystal lighting fixtures.
    Thanks, Jen.

    Ah, good point.

I must be de-sensitized because $500,000 doesn’t sound bad for a lot especially where I live. Some go for a lot more than $1 million. We looked at a lot on the outskirts of our neighborhood, and the lot was $150,000, but the neighborhood was shabby. Unfortunately, Houston doesn’t have zoning laws which means you could be living alongside a sketchy convenience store and an upholstery warehouse.

Houston is weird like that. I would think people would vote for zoning laws eventually after seeing the effects..

I am thinking about moving to Sugar Land one day. I have a friend who lives in Houston. I went down there to visit, took one look at Sugar Land and and fell in love. Reminds me of where I live now. But far cheaper. I love my area but can't afford to buy here. I could actually afford a house down there. I was salivating at how much home $400k can buy in and around Sugar Land. Where I live single family homes start at $600k.

Two things I do not like about Houston: the heat/humidity. You guys are basically shut in during the summer. It was stifling. But maybe it evens out because you guys can enjoy yourselves during the winter while we're hunkered down inside trying to stay warm. And secondly, flooding. Must be so nerve-wracking for people when a big storm comes through not knowing for sure if your house is going to get flooded.

I haven't watched the video but is she trying to get sympathy having to pack herself? Are we to believe that she buys a $800k five bedroom house. Afterwards taking four months spending untold thousands changing things to her specifications and then suddenly ran out of money to hire packers? No way.

Unless she showed a time lapse video showing her packing up the house (maybe she did) I don't buy she packed up that house. But if she did, her choice. She had the money to hire packers. Commonfolk, like myself, can afford packers. Suddenly 1% Jen cannot? Fat chance.

She definitely showed some sped-up footage of packing, but mostly the kids' rooms and some of the kitchen. I honestly think she tried to do what she said she will and empty the rest of the house one vanload at a time while decluttering the stuff she packs, but I'm hoping that after a month of this Don and/or Missy kicked her to the curb and had professionals empty the rest of the house so they could stage. Jen might have said she was "done" and everything she left behind was stuff she didn't want, but I'm betting Gentle Jenny didn't actually finish going through everything, just decided (or was forced to) cut her losses.

Did anyone else think that post-it notes, super-sticky or not, were a dumb idea? I can see at least half of them falling off. I've always used tape. These days it's masking tape, because I've had color-coded movers tape leave permanent residue on plastic drawers and have been weary of it since.

. Interesting. Well that makes sense. Pack want to bring and leave the rest behind. If she is decluttering then it would be difficult for Packers to know what she wants to take and what she doesn't. So she would have to do some of that herself.

I recently went through that myself. Decluttering. Went room by room bagging up stuff that either I was donating or throwing away. It took quite some time. Thankfully now at this point I'm ready for a move because I pretty much gotten rid of all the junk. All she's doing is that now.
