I've always wondered why Don didn't push the job issue more with Jen and just let her stay at home as a "lady of leisure" type. As a young college grad especially she should have been able to find some type of position with a bit of ease (familial connections, pretty prestigious high ranked Colleges), even if not in the art field itself.. It's also interesting to me because most people male or female like to use their college degree for some purpose after university, even if only for a few years, after they've worked to earn it. Whether it was some type of front desk admin work or whatnot. Didn't have to be full time/40 hours a week either if Don and Jen thought the home front needed more support from her. Or if not a job, a or a few volunteer positions on boards/charity organizations and so on. Some of those are paid, too. Then when kids came she could have transferred to a full-time SAHM as that was something she has stated in past videos she always wanted to do. I don't think her staying at home was what solely caused the dissolution of the marriage but that was a lot of time for someone to be with their own thoughts day and day out, especially with not many IRL friends IMO.
