I think he cheated for TWO! reasons:

    1. His personality - to me, he just seems like the type to cheat & that he would feel entitled to cheating since Jen changed so much & was no longer giving him what he needed at home... kinda going along w/ his blowhard, condescending, smug, selfish personality

    2. Jen filed for divorce & is seemingly still “in” w/ his family - again, she’s calculating, & I don’t think she would divorce Don just because she was suddenly feeling inspired by Glennon Doyle... in my opinion, she’s the type that would wait until she could have the upper hand in a divorce & that would include being able to “keep” the Ross Family

I admit, though, I could be way off-base. I was on the hay wagon until the bitter end, after all, &, now, the train has left.

He TOTALLY has the cheater vibe. I also bet he asks for freaky shit in bed

I've always wondered why Don didn't push the job issue more with Jen and just let her stay at home as a "lady of leisure" type. As a young college grad especially she should have been able to find some type of position with a bit of ease (familial connections, pretty prestigious high ranked Colleges), even if not in the art field itself.. It's also interesting to me because most people male or female like to use their college degree for some purpose after university, even if only for a few years, after they've worked to earn it. Whether it was some type of front desk admin work or whatnot. Didn't have to be full time/40 hours a week either if Don and Jen thought the home front needed more support from her. Or if not a job, a or a few volunteer positions on boards/charity organizations and so on. Some of those are paid, too. Then when kids came she could have transferred to a full-time SAHM as that was something she has stated in past videos she always wanted to do. I don't think her staying at home was what solely caused the dissolution of the marriage but that was a lot of time for someone to be with their own thoughts day and day out, especially with not many IRL friends IMO.

It’s a status thing to be able to work & earn enough money to have a wife who doesn’t have to work even before kids.

And there’s a stereotype regarding a woman who goes to college for an art history degree.

I’m not saying that every woman who earns an art history degree is really just after her Mrs. degree, but the stereotype is there for a reason.

Was totally going to say this. She went to school to get her MRS degree

Also after dating (Tinder especially) I can guarantee he cheated. That bio screams I’ve been doing this on the down low for ages.
There are a million out there like him. They wanna pull your it and slap your ass and then show you their three inches of glory that their wife hasn’t let them show her in five years 😬

Longtime lurker and this made me finally make an account.
I do blogging and content creation too and I went through a really shitty divorce. I feel bad for her. Sharing so much with the public is a double edge sword. The same people who love you are often the first to tear you apart. I was terrified to share my divorce and kept it a secret for like 18 months until I started dating seriously and really wanted to share

Ironically I divorced a man who loved some of Jen’s recipes so maybe they were bad karma 🤣😂
