Have any of you known of any adult IRL who has shopped for a persona like Big Bertha Gene does? I haven't and it's so weird and trainwrecky. I thought the Jennon Doyle persona was bad but Vannifer Boyles is even worse and I'm not down for it.

Vannifer Boyles this is sooo good! Can't wait to see where this trainwreck is headed!

    Never ever met someone chameleonLikeGene.

I can see her going slowly and fully Saint: Vegan, Frugal, Only Natural products, Zero waste movement, Sandals and Linen clothes. Nahhhh! that's a bit too extreme for her. At this point, she could at least join a Tibetan monastery.

Anyone has any news about Don and the Lady?

The first seeds were when Don dumped her ass and said the house must go and she said But Where Will I Live? And he said, in his Rhett Buttler voice, Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn, go live in a van! And she said, in her Scarlett O'Hara voice, oh I can't think about a van right now, I have kale to massage, I'll think about it tomorrow! I'll return to Utah, as God is my witness! :hearty-laugh:

Excellent new thread title idea! :toothless-chuckle-smiley-emotic

I think she has been preparing herself for van life for a long time. It kind of adds up to me now after having watched her van life video in Moab, or maybe is just my super crazy theory. Anyhow.

Aside from her innate sloth laziness, she grew more and more, at first maybe subconsciously into the 'minimalism' she saw in those Van Life series. Then, she began to copy the Van Life behaviours adopting them in her life in small doses, then given her divorce and her wanting freedom, she wanted to get rid of more and more stuff reminding her of the past (including her husband but sadly not her children), then she started by trying of living with less, owning less, using less things to cook and such. No unnecessary decorations or furniture. Wearing the same comfy clothes over and over again, less products for beauty routine, no make up, more technical /outdoor/ mountain clothing. She was preparing herself psychologically to try Van Life. But spending more on quality (?) stuff.

Is it just my impressionism? or did someone else noticed that too?

Van life means she has to buy all the things.

I had some van life experience and......It may appears as a frugal life but it's actually expensive....It gives you freedom because you are actually free to plan your day and where to sleep, drive some more eat whenever you want etc...but to make it comfortable you need to spend a LOT on the specific van related things (new fast dry fabric, special pots and pans which conduct heat faster, special toilet paper that dissolves quicky, specific no foam detergents....you name it etc)

May I add: is this her new persona? probably yes till time will tell. I can say she finally owns the fact she had to move on, at least with her name change but she did not change her profile pic on SM :strong_no_smiley_emoticon: and she is now exploring van life, she is so predictable. Some clever Bakers predicted that...
We will see how long this fad will last.

Next chapter: solo travelling mama making a living out of her content?

    Oh boy, :1485540604:

    Yay VirutalHug

    Congratulations on the house!
Are you having your handyman gut it and install gray tile everywhere? Don’t forget a divider for your trash plates.

    :mocking_smiley_emoticon:

    Hi there, Bin! ❤️

Still long road to the handyman! we just signed the paperworks, waiting for the bank to say YES TO THE LOAN! Probably July.
House buying in Italy takes a few steps and a few months of waiting...

Actually, it has grey tiles ahahhahha! It is an unfinished brand new house with some works to do, we love it.

We will need a new kitchen with a LOT of dividers!
Oh my, this process has been stressful, lots of figures and adding and sweating but we will manage it ok

Hey what happened? been away because we found our HOUSE finally...busy with paper works and I come back and what I see? a revamp???

Didn't read the past threads but hey.......share with wonder what???????????????????????????

VirutalHug So glad you’re back! Sorry to see you’re going through so much. I hope things get better soon. And best of luck on the house!

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I have no desire to watch someone clean and organize their home. I do enjoy good organizing ideas, but watching somebody tidy their stuff is anything but enjoyable to me. Watching Gene in a voiceless sped-up cleaning video is a complete waste of my time. To think somebody would actually pay to see it makes me go :being-confused-smiley-emoticon:

:6792: Hello @GrownUpStickerBook so glad to hear from you!

I hope it gets better...fingers crossed...I'm so tired!

Well, I won't find such a video hard to watch as I need something to sedate my brain, and maybe I will manage to get some sleep in the meantime! :snickering:

:6792: Please, any tips on how to survive to an Aries toddler? He is resolute, mischievous and terribly smart. He has an innate excellent sense of humor and he can be so cuddly and irresistible, though!

Yes, EXACTLY! that's what enrages me the most. BBG has everything and she doesn't even break a sweat for it nor she truly realizes she is :to-quote-smiley-emoticon: shot in the ass with luck.

She does the bare minimum, and it's embarrassing. She is still getting away with it but sooner or later her fluke will be over.

Hello my Bakers! My life has been hectic bere on my side of the world lately.

Anything worth mentioning or recapping about our BG?

Hi VirutalHug! I was thinking the other day that you had not posted in a while, it's great to see you. Sending love to Italy, very sad to hear how challenging things are again with COVID-19.

You have missed absolutely nothing as far as Big Bertha is concerned. We are sure she travelled somewhere while the kids were on a break from school and with the Rosses. She is too scared to admit that she travelled but her beloved Peloton gave her away. 😂

Hello Zizi! good to hear from you! so glad to be able to have time to come here finally.

COVID seems to get worse and worse, every week we have new government dispositions, often contradictory and confusing but we stick to our usual, standard COVID etiquette and we are fine.

Stress levels are high here, oh boy...with husband still on lay offs (hopefully he will start again in May but months seem to simply slip away, first it was mid March, then Mid April, now May). Our baby boy turned 2 yo last week and he is at home with my husband.
Still looking to buy a house (probably we found the perfect one!!!) but the amount of money needed scares us to death even if we can make it, my car broke down yesterday so yeah....life.

I feel my stress levels are so high and I am so tired every day with work, a stressed husband and a yelling, stubborn Aries toddler. I confess I cried a little yesterday but hey, I slept on it, today I put the pieces together and I'm seemingly fine again.
I did not have the mental energy to come to the Bakery, I had too much on my plate but I wanted to say hi and check on our BBG (Big Bertha Gene). I need her to feel so good about myself by comparison :blushing-smiley-emoticon:

What could I ask that won’t get me blocked? 😂😭

Can’t predict whether she would consider this a reason to block someone, but I would ask how the online dating was going.

I would blatantly ask: Why did you divorce?

I'm dying to write that, frankly. Or:

Why did you buy such a large house?

When do you plan do find a job? alimony and child support won't last forever, as it appears that you are lacking content.

You should find a real therapist!

You are depressed! You need a job!
