My goal was to learn how to bake bread without using those ready-to-go bread mixes.
So I followed a lot of homestead channels to find a recipe that we liked.
They were mostly white bread though and I wanted to bake a whole wheat bread, so I think that I've finally succeeded in making my own recipe now.
Just today I made two beautiful breads, one in the oven and the other one in the bread machine, to compare how they would come out.
They are still too warm to cut, but they look and smell great!

I am enjoying watching videos from Little Village Homestead lately.
Just her old videos, not exactly bingewatching, but it comes close...lol
Renae is one of those people who I love to watch, always positive, clean, all the things Bev is not.
And I love to see her cook, simple but delicious meals. |

I also think it’s weird that there is no baby stuff around. No bottles or blankets or anything. I look around my messy house and see my toddlers cute toys and socks laying around and it makes me smile. Even when I clean up everything there is still baby evidence around with her toy basket and books and stuff because she is a member of our home. I feel she will always hide his stuff even when he is older and that won’t be easy for baby E as a toddler and child.
At any given time in my house I see a dog toy, a book, magazine, reading glasses, a blanket or throw pillow, and when my children were babies there was baby stuff in the living room.
It's not a mess, but we do live there.
