Sorry, you lost me at "when the pineapple goes on". I would not like it either if the pineapple was stuck there in the tomato sauce! It's called "white pizza"---no red sauce! |

| QUOTE (ColdOne @ 8/27/2021, 09:51 AM) The spinach squares look rubbery and flavourless. No dip? It's pastry, egg, and spinach? Why not just make proper quiche? On my phone, I read this as Papier Mâché...would likely taste the same as the spinach squares lol. |

| QUOTE (zizizouzou @ 8/26/2021, 05:02 PM) QUOTE (BarefootNightmares @ 26/8/2021, 23:26) But do you use darling to describe things? Eg. That sofa is darling. Not as common as calling someone darling but yes, people do. Admittedly, I never heard someone call a sofa darling but a garden, a cottage, a dress, yes.

| QUOTE (Good Ol’ Suze @ 26/8/2021, 18:47) QUOTE (Bangle Bitch @ 8/26/2021, 09:40 AM) Darling rings hollow from her because it screams thesaurus. It is not part of her normal vocabulary. Do you think she has an assortment of adjectives on a snoopy themed post it in her ‘vlogging essentials’ pouch? Pretty sure it’s in the NOTES app on her tween-bejeweled iPhone. |

| QUOTE (SteamingPileOfClaundry @ 26/8/2021, 17:13) QUOTE (Snark Week @ 26/8/2021, 15:20) Using darling is a very British thing, my British ex boyfriend used to call me that.
Makes sense that Jen would gravitate towards it since she spent 2 months in England one summer which basically makes her British. Not really. Calling people darling as a pet name is something brits do. Describing a couch or a house as darling seems upper middle class American to me more than anything else. Like people who feel like cute is beneath them say things are darling. The mother/grandmother in The Gilmore Girls described things as darling. Jen as Emily Gilmore (without the grooming and the wardrobe)works for me! |
