    Snackin&Snarkin

I watch CCG for the same reasons. As for other channels to watch I also love watching Cherished Treasures. I love her voice. Also, you are right about vlogging; not everyone can do it. A youtuber I may like watching doing dollar store hauls, I may not like watching vlogging. I love to watch Auntie Coo Coo vlog; Cherished Treasures. Not many have what it takes to vlog well. Styles vary, but not many can successfully pull it off. Some are downright annoying when they vlog like Crappy Guuurl.

During her "snaps", on Instagram, she mentions about wanting to really be aggressive, this weekend, in regards to filming. Then, a couple "snaps" later, she talks about how if she does her planning outside the craft room, she can do it ANYTIME, and not just in the morning (when the lighting is better). Since, you know, she sometimes is busy in the morning, and the time is gone, and she can't plan. I think she just let the truth slip right on out. Yes, to try to keep up her "werk" lie, she talks about needing to hit it hard on the weekend. However, when she's just rambling on and on, she naturally tells the truth! Like sometimes she's busy in the morning! Not Saturday morning; THE MORNING. If she plans outside the "crap" room, she can plan ANYTIME, not Saturday/Sunday morning. If lighting is REALLY your issue, then set up in the side room, across from the office, where you say the lighting is great. Oh wait; those end tables are still drying in there...

Also, no way no how does ANYONE I know have that much down time/tv time EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Every night! For hours! She is also not one who is good about taking off her makeup. During her Friday night/Saturday morning 7 hour Instagram live event (LOL), she had her full face on. She had her full face on because she filmed another lack-luster DT haul, earlier that Friday. The next morning she "snapped" a pic to share on her Instastory, and she had the same done up face. My point is, she does not strike me as the type who comes home from "werk" and immediately takes off her makeup, and changes into comfy clothes for the rest of the night. NOPE! I think she rolls out of bed and puts on that same ratty gray "sweater".

If someone was SERIOUS about catching up on her planning or vlogging or DIYs she would not plop down on her couch, do an Instagram thing-a-ma-bob and then proceed to tell us about her marathon TV watching or Zoning out with Golden Gurrrrls for the next 4 hours. If she really intended to do all those things, she’d turn off the TV, maybe put on some music and get busy catching up. Go on Amazon, buy the stuff to put up a better lighting rig (if she thinks that her viewers care that much) and then get busy. Just do it. Quit yammering about it and PLAN.

Is that so hard?? Sigh.... :being-confused-smiley-emoticon:

That's the thing Grammy, she is not interested in the least about the vlogging and the palnning. What she is interested in is becoming famous. She is not even interested I do not think anymore in making youtube her full time job. I think she likes the idea of it, but she has absolutely NO WORK ETHIC AT ALL! I mean NONE!. She reminds me of a teenager wishing they were a Movie Star and being famous, but not having one clue of what it takes to become that which is HARD WORK! And we know Crappy Girrrl DON"T WERK. She does not work at anything; planning, crafting, nothing. She is lazy, that is what this all boils down to. A spoiled brat who wants to be paid to do nothing.

Snackin&Snarkin, I enjoy Auntie Coo Coo, Nicole Burgess, and Rhymingtahn too. If you like them, you might also like Pookie's View, Pretty N Flawed, and Bargain Bethany. I'm not familiar with Cherished Treasures or Jennifer Mowan so I'll have to check them out. My favorite YouTube channel is Jami Ray Vintage, but I'm an antique and vintage furniture restorer so her channel might be a bit off topic from the rest of those YouTubers mentioned.

I will check those out, thank you, Pastry Chef! the Jami Ray Vintage channel sounds cool too! I love all things vintage!

I caught that too, Pegoo! I thought she had an 'Oh so difficult' jorb (<--homage to homestarrunner.com) that kept her busy all day long & even on weekends. If she is truly a business analyst, there is no way she has as much down time and free time as we see her having.

Grammy & Eclecticmania, you've both hit the nail on the head here! Marie is not interested in hard work. She doesn't want to do crafts, DIY's or planner spreads. She just wants to be YouTube famous without having to lift a finger with the exception of just carrying her camera around as she putzes through her day. Her 'shop with me' vids aren't even close to the quality of many other DT haulers. They're always lackluster, half-assed, & janky. It's obvious that they're just done quickly so she'll have something to post.

She's learned well from her grifter mom. Scamming and laziness runs in that family. Her mom found herself a man to fund her grifter lifestyle. Guess Marie could try that route once Junior heads to college.

Unfortunately “Marie” isn’t the only YTer I’ve started watching for planner/craft vids & then they start doing more & more hauls & lack in the planning/crafting department—I think they just find it easier. If anyone likes watching crafting vids (mostly paper crafting) then check out Maymay Made It. She’s religious (I’m not), but doesn’t force it on you so I still find her watchable.

We’ve all seen the DT shop with me videos that CCG throws together and then uploads to YT like it is her much awaited gift to mankind. I decided to look at Do It On a Dime, a similar concept but executed much better. While she is a bit too cloyingly sweet for me, the girl does a decent job of narrating the video and showing products, even those she may not buy. As she walks through the store pointing out products, she also mentions specific ways the item could be used as a DIY or household item. So even if she doesn’t DO a DIY with an item, she gives out lots of ideas how it might be used.

About CCG’s remarks at the end of her chat about her surprise video with all the hints and dangling carrots.... if ya weren’t confused by what she really intends to do, you are listening closer than I was. I might, I will, I won’t, then again maybe I will ask you in a poll, but I really shouldn’t be doing this, and on and on. By the end of her little narrative, I didn’t care whether she did or didn't. Just pick one and do it. Ugh....she wears me out. How do her subbies stand it?? :29:

Her “will i, wont i” video better not be a conspiracy theory type. If it is then she’s right and shouldn’t be doing it. She’s too much of an airhead and half the time has trouble forming a coherent sentence so it would be a disaster. She needs to stick to with what she’s good at- cleaning toilets with her bare hands and picking her nose.

Actually i might want to see her attempt talking about a conspiracy. It’ll no doubt give us some great material to talk about here.

I'm completely off topic, but I'm just excited to see that there are others out there who are still quoting Homestar out there - my friends and I all still say "jorb!" (Did you see they started posting Strongbad Emails on YT?)

I have tried a couple times recently to watch Marie, but I start a video and stop after 30 to 45 seconds. She's insufferable.

    Dorothy!!

So happy that someone knew what I was talking about! My family and I are huge Homestarrunner fans! We always say "jorb" too. We love Strongbad emails so thank you for the heads up. I'd watch Strongbad over Marie any day!

I don't blame you for not wanting to watch Marie's latest video crapapalooza. I've found it difficult too. I always make sure I have another task to do at the same time. I packed for a trip during her Instagram live last Friday. 😜

So she drops $100 on new pillows because she's "over" the blue ones on her living room couch. She's getting rid of the blue chairs too. Didn't she just get them? She's patting herself on the back so hard for this "pillow makeover" which isn't a pillow makeover so much as a couch makeover. She's amazed at how different her couch looks now. She took out color and added a bunch of beige pillows to a beige couch in her beige living room of her beige house where she lives her beige life.

I knew she was going to get rid of those blue chairs at some point since she bought them. They seemed like such an impulse buy and she made little comments over time about how she cant incorporate them right into decor. Not only that but i could never understand why she bought them in the first place and put them in the living room. They make it super overcrowded. Hopefully she just leaves that space clear but knowing her she’s probably going to try to cram another piece of furniture there.
