My thoughts...yes, Jen hates her life as it is right now. And Don is included in that. But in order for her to keep every material thing she has - big house, big car, expensive school for CC, and all the money she needs for her plant-based journey - I think she’ll railroad (see what I did there?) Don into going to couples therapy. Somebody Judith refers to her. Jen goes for a while without Don...gets the therapist to see her side of it and tries to get Don to change his ways...like back when he used to come home for lunch, bring her chicken while she’s taking a bath, maybe even learn how to do some of her “housewifey” duties like laundry and grocery shopping. So she can get back to polishing her nails, trimming her brows and best of all...shopping. It’s a stretch I know, but the little devil in my head is telling me that’s what I would do if I were in her shoes. It’s manipulation at its best and I think Jen has honed her skills well.

If Don does ask for a divorce, Jen and the kids will be taken cared of. None of that will change. Except Don will be able to do as he pleases in a man cave above ground. Perhaps they'll sell the mansion for something smaller, but the kids - and Jen will be financially fine.

I'm actually on the martyr train. Not saying that she's really enjoying this martyrdom, but it's the personality she's picked for now. This is how she thinks a mother SHOULD be.
It's the first big step in a lifetime of manipulative moves. I recognise it from my own mother. I hope those kids don't get as fucked up as we did. It took us years to stand up to that.

Choo choo! But it won't be Jen initiating anything. You can't be a martyr victim if you're the one that files. I also don't necessarily think it'll happen next year or anything but they are headed in that direction.

I think she is miserable but they will never divorce. she only socializes with the Rosses and she'd lose the family vacation home in Utah. I also think she relies heavily on Don for emotional support in situations where she's uncomfortable and there will be more and more of those situations when both kids are in school. I also don't think things are as bad as what some people here think. most (all?) couples say babies can put a strain on things for a while. I think things will get better when the kids are a little older. she doesn't post as much on IG in general so I don't read too much in not publicly acknowledging their anniversary
