If they still even all eat together, can you imagine the dinner conversation?
They all sit down at the table. Don & the kids have some kind of meat, maybe a cheeseburger. Jen is eating a sad salad.
CC: Why aren't you eating a cheeseburger, Mommy?
Jen: Because I just can't bear it.
CC: But why?
Don: Let it go.
Jen: It's just so sad... [nostrils flare, voice gets shaky]
CC: What's sad, Mommy?
Don: Let it go.
Jen: I just can't eat meat, CC. It's too sad for Mommy, but you eat yours, CC. It's fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine.
