Someone else can explain Glennon Doyle (& Brene Brown & Elizabeth Gilbert) better than I can.
But Jen is too susceptible to all the "love yourself first, you're fierce, your story matters, it's okay to be selfish, go find your true yourself" slogans.
Not that any of that isn't good, it's just that women like Jen tend to internalize that kinda stuff way too much & end up trying to dissect & find things wrong in their lives and/or in their marriages...
There might have been nothing hugely wrong, but it ends up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Exactly. The message isn't a bad message at all, however people like Jen spend their whole looking for themselves, and their happiness. They only look within and then wonder why their lives are small and lonely. It's good to be introspective sometimes and take stock of your life and yourself, but if that's all you do there's no room to actually live the life you're constantly examining.

Tinder or not, Don wouldn’t have issues finding and settling down with someone else. Jen, on the other hand, better get used to the single life if they have indeed split. She ain’t gonna find another Don who will put up with her shit. Not anytime soon. That she even managed to have the life she had for as long as she has had it is pretty unbelievable.
