I’m probably most proud of this title. Not sure why I’m going Mama Bear on these kids, but I am. They need real love. Not this bullshit their parents show.
You can self love AFTER you care for your young children. They need a rock. Not a resentful mom. Not an absent Dad (both physically and emotionally)

I always got the impression that they both thought the other was an idiot. he thought she was a little girl that needed head pats for doing basic things. she thought he was a big dummy who couldn't even change light bulbs. just no respect from either side. what a wonderful marriage that must have been

OMG her list of excuses why she sucked at making that Hello Fresh. Don saying lovely like a child molester. Her criticisms of the instructions when it was her ineptitude that made things take so long. She needs a hello fresh for a child's comprehension level.

Yes. Because that's what Jen needs to be told in order to function through this. Because if Suzanne and the rest don't say it or show it, Jen will absolutely turn into a legit psychopath. Legit.
Bangle Bitch - I'm with you on Mama Bear-ing those kids. Their mother certainly isn't. Her whole "I'm not going to show much of my kids..." except on Instagram and when it suits me and my journey/narrative to do so. She is totally right that they have no say about what she puts on the internet and she may think that IG stories go away but they do not. There are plenty of websites that store that stuff forever - freely accessible to anyone willing to give them an email address.
Not to even get started on the "let's let Charlotte bring it up" bullshit. I doubt that Charlotte will remember this, I certainly don't remember much, if anything, from that period of my life. The thing that really gets me is that if THIS is the approach they wanted to take with something as significant as a parent leaving the household - I think this is just the tip of the iceberg. These kids are going to have serious trust issues because mommy and daddy don't know how to talk to them or explain what is going on in their world.
Jen wasn’t chronologically young when she had her kids, but she’s different than a teen mom. Never faced any adversity or independence, zero work/real world experience to speak of and not a single friend who was able to guild/support her in her motherhood journey. Babies having babies, she and Don.

I believe this 200%. They’ll interact with her for the kids sake but she will not be enmeshed with them as she was when married.
