Pausing her live. She is talking about The News. And, how, there should be special news for people with anxiety. Well, I have an anxiety disorder but I am also affected by the news. I live in the world. Where do you live Jen? The reason she could get away with never listening to the news was that she felt safe in her bubble. What did the news really matter- cuts in social security weren't going to hurt Poopsie, she needn't worry about Gravy's health coverage. Who cares if the school budget passes- her kids' education will always have the best possible. So, that leaves empathy and basic human decency. It involves, at the very least, spending 1/2 an hour thinking about others. For her, not having to experience any virtual discomfort wins. . -

But again, CC is so perceptive that she didn’t tell her about the separation. Why would she tell her about a move? Surely CC would be able to perceive her new surroundings. 😂. -

I found it interesting that Teets thought to ask if “they knew” about the move. That tells me this is a common theme of their conversations off camera. Jen priming her on the things she wants to keep secret.. -

No wonder Jen is procrastinating with purging/cleaning/organizing. She’s eventually going to have to move and is overwhelmed by how much crap she has.
Jen has no use for seasonal decor so she needs to take a few bins and put only those special decor items in them. Next, donate/toss the rest. That will take care of some of her hoard.
I’m just curious to know how bad Jen’s breakdown will be once she has to clear out that attic.. -

I think she has a whoooooole lot of shit that she collected for her "wife" persona & now she can get rid of her 35-setting entertaining supplies. Since she's over being a wife, she'll be over all the things that came with it.
And the "mom" persona has pushed out all her childish things, like the AG collection, so she might be more willing to get rid of all the dolls & teddy bears, too.. -
.She’s going to be in for a surprise when she starts dating again. Even in my early 30s I found it very different to my late teens. Less to choose from combined with being more certain about who you will get along with.
I’m guessing it is even harder at 37 because she will be competing with slightly younger women with baby fever.
That, and she has such a juvenile approach to grown up relationships - see her idea of friendship being sisterhood of the traveling pants style - that I think she'll be a bit surprised by the game as an adult woman in her forties. (I'm nowhere near her age, but friends of mine who are - but prettier and all-around better people, mind you - told me that first dates are a lot more focused on compatibility of values, lifestyles and already born children than on being starstruck by the other - even if there is a bit of that too)
Playing the clueless baby girl is a lot harder to pull off when you're 40, have two kids and is balding, than when you're 20 and fresh-faced.. -
