Why can’t she ever be honest and just admit that she’s enjoying the solo time?? It shouldn’t break your heart THAT much when your kids are spending time with their dad because HE’S THEIR DAD!! Unless he’s a terrible father to his children, it’s good for them to be with their dad. Midst of this pandemic, I would love a kid-free afternoon to go to Target (I wouldn’t at the moment bc duh), and work out. She should just act like a normal human.

My husband and I fought a lot over how to raise our grandchildren, sometimes with screaming matches (frankly, we were already exhausted from raising our own children). What usually broke the tension was joking that we would never divorce over it because neither one would be willing to take the kids. 
There is no shame in admitting you need a break from your children, especially now. (Well, maybe you shouldn’t tell the kids.) She’s just so pretentious and smug, always looking to get that Gold Medal for Martyrdom. Once upon a time she thrived on creating envy with her spoiled, pampered life. Now it’s all about being placed on a pedestal for her struggles on the struggle bus. The bus she threw Don under.

All my best friend wants right now is a girls night out. Does that mean she hates her husband and her kids? No! But they go on her nerves big time after being cooped up all the time and she wants some time out. So does he, probably. And that’s completely fine. But she doesn’t pretend that everything is perfect if only her little ones are around her. Just be honest Jen!
