At least they would be getting some sort of intellectual conversation...the only thing Jen can contribute is “Hello Friendths” and give them a stoned giggle.

Also, isn't that the whole point of Montessori? For them to learn life skills and be independent? It's weird when you think that Donny goes to a school where he's allowed to independently water plants, flip pancakes, fold napkins, etc., but then at home he's treated like he can't do anything.. -

People are confused about the pull-ups but her legendary stubbornness lasted 6 or 7 years with poor Winnie's feeding schedule. She'd put down the 1/2 cup for one hour in the morning, pick the bowl up, and put down 1/2 cup for an hour in the evening for YEARS of Winnie's life until one day she decided Winnie really wasn't eating much at all because she, too, is a very picky eater. She instills these routines in those around her in order to be in control of everyone and everything and it takes huge amounts of time for those routines to change. See also: Winnie's hair cut.
No surprise she's making CC wear pull-ups beyond the point she probably needs them because it's her way of controlling night time (or whenever) to prove to herself and to everyone else that mother knows best.. -

I’m not saying Don isn’t a dickhead and I know he has some extreme social beliefs but I do believe he is a genuinely bright guy. As smart as he thinks he is? Probably not. But reasonably intelligent and employable even if he didn’t have to rely on nepotism.
I’m sure technically Jen could GET a job but could she keep a job? Is she able to hold conversation with people Don works with? Does she read (besides self help), keep up with current events?

Jen could never keep a job. A supervisor is not interested in what works for you. You have to multitask. Also, things have deadlines which means that the task needs to be completely efficiently and correctly. With Jen, everything is a journey and noting is done efficiently. Or correctly for that matter. Jen half asses EVERYTHING. . -

you can add every bad quality Don has together and it would still be nothing compared to the mess Jen is. the reality is that he actually has something to offer someone while she doesn't. for years he actually tried in that relationship while she was just take take take while never considering Don's needs or Don's journey. when people ask "what about Don? does she think about how he feels?" in regards to child custody the answer is no. she never thinks of Don. she never has. that could be why she's in the situation that she's in. he is far more likely to move on and live a normal life and find happiness again while she'll wallow in sorrow and document it all in 100 journals . -
