The last couple times she’s had him in stories etc. they’ve actually sounded like they were getting along together.

Also, I didn’t make it through very much of the planner video. If she was just gifted multiple planners from EC, why is she ordering more? Giveaways?

.I had no intention of watching Jen's planner review, but after reading comments here, curiosity got the better of me. I found it extremely nit-picky and ridiculous. She had to point out EACH individual difference from last year, down to the bar code. WTF. Personally, I don’t care whether a bar code is on my planner, I want to know how the Gestalt of it works for me.
It is great that Erin Condren considers feedback from customers, but it seems like now her whole business is being dictated by these entitled little petulant do-nothings. Oh, “some people” didn’t like that the tab didn’t open directly to the monthly spread? Better change that ASAP. I think that is what burned Jen’s biscuits about the sticker pages...the fact that “they” gave feedback about the hole punching but EC ignored it. JFC. What an entitled beyotch. She acts like she is on the board of directors for the company.
Get over yourself, Jen. It is a planner. You don’t (and won’t) even use planners. There are much, much, much bigger things in life to get your Ross-Utah-Log-Cabin-Approved underwear in a bunch about. Grrrr.

If I buy an 8$ calendar somewhere, then I really don’t care what it looks like.
When I pay 60$ for a planner that I’ll only really see when it’s been shipped to me, then I certainly would appreciate a thorough review like Jen’s before ordering it.

No!! I totally agree with you!! For that money, you'd expect things to be damn near perfect. Years (4 maybe??) ago when I was in the GW planner facebook group, I can't tell you how many times someone would post a picture of someone else's planner that they'd mistakenly been sent. Sometimes, it was the planner they ordered but with someone else's personalized cover on it. Sometimes it was just flat out the wrong planner (always with somebody else's name on the cover). And they'd laugh it off for the most part. There were other mistakes or maybe design flaws that were mentioned too. Those ladies sometimes paid upwards of $80 for their planners.
Anywho....I will give Jen a lot of credit for her pretty thorough reviews that she does. It's hard to spit in the eye of someone who has sent you something for free, but she was always honest with her reviews. I always enjoyed her stocking stuffer videos, too.. -

I think she was upset that EC did not remember that she likes the rose gold coil better. So Queen of Passive Agressive Jen Ross ordered a brand new planner with the rose gold coil and fixings right away. All the while giving her middle finger to EC and team, she can purchase her own. She does not need their charity freebies and she does not need to toe the line while reviewing their products. So there, EC 
What I would like to know is, why did her dear friend Sam at EC not reach out to her and get a feel for what she would like sent? Is she not “dear friend” anymore?. -

I'm on Team Don Cheated. (I don't think he had some romantic affair, just computer stuff and maybe paid arrangements)
My theory is that Jen is reluctant to give hints about cheating because it makes her look bad. Many of us think that she has narcissistic tendencies. Admitting to her whole audience that Don found other women more attractive than her would cause a massive narcissistic injury.
So she concocted this story that she never liked him much anyway and women shouldn't have to sacrifice themselves for their man, etc.

I am pretty sure that Jen did not pay for the order she just submitted. She probably has plenty of affiliate credits so it did not cost her a thing.
Also, we may have moved past this, but that Mother's Day meme has been all over Facebook and IG and I think she just reposted it to be relatable and to show how much of a mother she really is - thinking about motherhood all the time like Jen.. -
.My guess is if Jen had it her way she would dump EC and go find another planner company but she’s too far in at this point and I think that’s what irritates her the most, and it shines through in her video.
In this case I can somehow understand her. If I got used to a product it’s REALLY hard for me to change it and I hate if I’m forced to when said product, for instance, gets discontinued.
But other than Jen I know that that’s not actually the end of the world and purely my problem and eventually I can move on.. -

I can kind of get the Don Cheating speculations but let's have a realistic moment: WHERE would Don meet any other women? He has never shown to leave the nepotistic man den that is the family business. A business that mostly orbits in a male dominated field. His only extracurricular activities involve drinking, golf and cooking or any combination of the three,most are which are done with family. They have absolutely no friends aside from some random people from high school that have ever been shown or talked about. If he was on any sort of dating site someone here would have sussed him out immediately (ex: TinderGate). And he is a man that got into a serious relationship with his future wife straight out of high school which would put a damper on a charming man's game, let alone a navel gazer like Don. So who is he cheating with? Unless it's Jeff which is probably only in my dream world. . -

Is there any chance that this was supposed to be a sponsored post and they wouldn’t let her out of it? She tried to use covid to get out of posting, that clearly failed and she threw a hissy fit. But if EC had paid her it would explain why she was mad that they weren’t buying her martyr momma act and she posted the less than flattering review. . -

The xmas morning screenshot was part of an instagram video and we all saw his look in that for more than a second. It was unmistakable.
tbh i think she's being OTT cheery when Don is around. Like the easter egg hunt vlog. That was so awkward.. -

If it was anyone OTHER than Jen posting the Mother’s Day meme I would agree that she posted it to be relatable. Yeah he has very few chances to meet women.
I think the reason is quite simple. She had postpartum depression & anxiety that was never addressed properly along with her previous life of total leisure being turned upside down. She started henpecking Don a lot more often because she was feeling bad, she really started to hate him after back surgery and becoming CEO. He had definitely announced that he was 'semi retired' in his early 30s so i'm sure she was expecting a lot of help and felt let down about that. She discovered 'self help' gurus like Glennon and felt validated in her feelings, even though Don was no doubt looking forward to playing golf and spending time with his kids instead of having to go to work everyday. Everything kept on spiralling until one day someone said the divorce and the other said yes.. -

My theory is that Don started with online shenanigans. Porn progressing to cam girls, that kind of thing.
Once he went back to work, he did travel to NYC. That would create space for meetups. Where he would find the women, I don't know, but it's possible that he used paid arrangements.
Business travel creates a lot of space for a spouse to cheat. You can't really keep track of someone when they are on a business trip and there is free time during the night when the business dinner is over.. -

I think her review overall was good. She harped a lot on what she thought were mistakes but weren't, and bitched a bit too much about the hole punch for the binder's stickers. But what really surprised me about EC was that they "weren't sure" if the paper had a different coating. Planner/stationery snobs like me are super into the quality of the paper, as that makes a difference as to what pens I use. I have a Hobonichi, and its Tomoe River paper is very fountain pen friendly. Any changes to that paper quality would and should be communicated by Hobonichi. The bulk of a planner is paper, and then secondarily what matters is its layout.
So the fact that Jen noticed a difference in the paper between release years and EC just shrugged about it tells me that EC doesn't give a shit about quality.. -

^^^ I agree. I watched a few of these videos and no one else mentioned that the paper changed. I also liked that Jen went back and questioned EC about it and reported that she didn't get any answers.
Their customers are going to freak if that paper feels dramatically different. One of the big things people love about that planner is the feel and weight of the paper. It's heavy and it's also slightly textured unlike a lot of other planners which are more slippery..
