Edited to add - by "forced out" I think Don offered to let her buy him out of it and she's can't afford to do so and/or doesn't want to do that.

Also - BULLSHIT on the social conditioning tripe. My husband and I own a house together and even though he's made 99% of the decisions with respect to how it looks (paint, decor, furniture) it's MY house and I feel just as comfortable here with or without him in it.

That's not social conditioning, Jen, that's your own insecurities about being a "housewife" and not bringing money into the household. That's on you. I seriously doubt that any member of your family forced you into this life and the sooner you realize that you brought this on yourself and the only one oppressing you is YOU, the better off you'll be and the better off your poor kids will be. Charlotte doesn't need this baggage you're casting on her. How many times did you say that Don freely gave you whatever you wanted, gave you free reign to do whatever the F you wanted both in the house and outside of it. She could be telling the truth here. If HE cheated or was the one that ended it, that could have been in the initial discussions as a way to get her to go along with things. Or, they discussed her buying out his share of the house and she doesn't have the funds or desire to maintain the house, pay taxes etc. so she feels like she has to move. I think enough of her family watches her videos so she wouldn't want to lie?.
