IF she felt stifled in her relationship with Don, it would be because SHE was trying to be something she didn’t want to be, to pretend to be someone that didn’t come naturally.
She never wanted to be a housewife per-se, she just never wanted to work.
I think she had trouble thinking she had to keep up with Suzanne and the Ross side of the family. I think it overwhelmed her (mentally only) trying to be like them (a Melissa if you will) and she struggled with it because she was trying too hard to be someone she isn’t and I believe that really did stress her out and cause internal anxiety.
She feels like she can breathe now because she doesn’t have to pretend. She can follow ditsy YouTube fads and trends, she can play the piano, learn the guitar and indulge her own self which is exactly what she always wanted to do... without having to earn it.
She’s exactly where she wants to be... with two kids she never really wanted

That “house tour” was so typically Jen. She loves to hold information over her subscribers in order to feel superior. If people want to see a tour, show the damn tour especially if you are planning to show the house, anyway. No one wants to see tight, closeup shots of appliances. Show the room and the flow of the home. So annoying.
