Looks like Missy finally got the counters right on the listing! Changed it to quartz and jazzed up the whole thing a little bit. Said the appliances flow seamlessly into the family room with the stone fireplace focal point
It’s a focal point all right... 🥴

Her latest voice over video reminds me of Allie Brooke. Even her tone and how she describes the kids made me think of Allie.
It just seemed way different. Like she was talking to a new fan base.

QUOTE (Lauralie @ 7/13/2020, 03:14 AM) Someone else talked about Turtle Creek Lane here so I checked her out and I am hooked. Love her energy. I love seeing her decorations. But have you noticed that many of the decorations that she picks (e.g., her Glitterville pieces) have the same manic facial expressions that she does?

My interpretation is that Jen has decided that dairy is evil and, more importantly, disagrees with her skin/digestion/hormones. And she’s decided that eating land creatures is cruel. So she eats eggs and sea creatures and most vegan items she highlights these days are just using dairy substitutes into normal recipes and general overconsumption of leafy greens.
Hilariously this (combined with her old regular exercise standbys - yoga and running) appears to be working for her. If she had gone about this “journey” like a normal person instead of a crying milk-banishing maniac maybe she wouldn’t have torpedoed her entire marriage.

QUOTE (Bones’ Doormat @ 7/12/2020, 05:21 PM) QUOTE (BackupSize8 @ 12/7/2020, 22:59) Sounds like the KitchenAid is an investment after all. I love mine (Red)! You can make a shit ton of cookie dough in the fall, freeze them and bake them when you want to give them out. It saves a lot of hand mixing if you want to be gentle with yourself. Don’t forget to get the Martha Stewart cookbooks like Jen. I got Cakes, Cookies, Pies and Tarts and Cupcakes off eBay for $4 each. Is the Cookies one good? I am not a baker so the most I do from scratch are cookies.

QUOTE (Yetta @ 13/7/2020, 04:38) The Turtle Woman gave me anxiety! So much stuff and so much excess! I hear you. Felt the same at first. But her kindness grew on me and now I mainly ignore her decor.
Jen would be jealous of her bins and of how easy it is for her to interact with her own family!

QUOTE (GrownUpStickerBook @ 7/12/2020, 07:04 PM) Yeah, the scale of the tables and lamps is way off. You’d need to bend over...and possibly fall out of bed...to reach anything or use the light to read. It is becoming comical how much she can't get right on her own.

Speaking of which, if sending positive vibes or thoughts is your thing would you guys mind sending some to my pug Duke? He was diagnosed with vestibular disease today after a pretty bad episode (writhing on the ground, loss of bowel/bladder control, head tilt, couldn’t walk) and it was really scary. I know the prognosis is good I just hope he comes out of it ok.
