Shopping video ......... If you can't bear to watch. This is what happened.

He's about ready to start Hannah's potty training! (About dang time!)
Buys a TONNE of junk food.
Zooms in on the price of every single item. Sometimes you can't even see the item, just the price (Mills code for SEND CHECKS!)
Films a store employee (You know you're not allowed to do that Tommy!)
Films two customers at the register (You know you're not allowed to do that Tommy!)
Films the store employee working at the cash register (You know you're not allowed to do that Tommy!)
Zooms in on the total (More Mills code for SEND CHECKS!)
Almost 17 years old Asher is allowed to get a drink and a candy bar for helping
They leave the store at 10:30, load up the car and drive home which is 30 minutes away, so they probably got home at 11:15
Eden(10) and Solomon (8) are still up and help put stuff away. Its a Tuesday night before a school day Wednesday. (If anybody wonders why the kids look exhausted all the time, that's probably one of the reasons.

There is no structure there at all. The kids just run wild doing what they want and taking care of their own needs best they can.

Can't believe that Asher gets told by Daddy that he can have a candy bar and a drink. At almost 17 he should have a part time job, buying his own clothes, washing his own clothes, and buying anything he wanted with his OWN money.

It makes me wonder how exactly those kids own money is managed? Asher used to have his own business mowing grass for neighbors and doing some landscaping stuff for them in Spring Summer and Fall. Andrea said that he loved doing that and maybe one day he could have a good business going. He had quite a few customers before she passed away. In Winter he shoveled snow for his customers. I wonder if all that stopped after Andrea passed because Asher was pretty much full time taking care of baby Hannah and all the little kids then. He was getting up at like 6am to do his school so it would be done before it was time to get the little kids up, fix their breakfast, brush their hair. And he took care of baby Hannah's food, diapers and everything else too. I bet the poor kid didn't have time to do his garden job anymore. So maybe he is stuck with the cents that Tom pays him for doing his chores. Asher still has to buy bread for the family out of whatever money he earns. Tom should be paying that kid a full salary for all he does in that home. Not giving him a few dollars for being a Mom and Dad to the four little kids, cleaning the house, helping with the little kids homeschool on the three days the Kitty is not there. He looks so think and so pale.

Hearing Tom tell him that he could get a drink and a candy bar made me want to cry for Asher.

Yeah I think you are right. He is Andrea's stand in now. So sad. Why is Tom treating him like a baby? Pisses me off that he is robbing these kids of a normal childhood. It's like a little cult where nobody can leave. I wonder what goes on in the kids heads. Like do they feel trapped? They certainly see how other kids live. I'm sure they would never tell him their true feelings anyways for fear of the wrath of Tom. There's so much wrong with how he's raising his kids. He knows it all though. Kids are great even though they've regressed, look miserable and unhealthy.

MingMing22 Its so sad. From watching their videos and learning how they live, I don't think the kids see or know much about the real world at all. I'm going to make a post right after this one about two videos that my sister told me about which really shows just how much control there is over the kids lives. I didn't know those videos existed before. I was sick after I watched them. That is how disturbing they are.

Everything they do, and everything they ever did, is based at home. Home school and home church. Even when they take the weekly trip to the library Andrea was always right there with them. And now Tom stays with them, whenever he takes them. The only other places they go are to Kittys home, Papa Gary's home. or Andreas sisters homes. Even with youth group which I think they have been to only two or three times since they started going in the Fall this year, Tom stays right there all the time and the youth group sounds like sunday school. Tom even said that the older kids feel shy and awkward when they go there. I guess because they have never mixed with other kids who aren't family before.

How those kids will make it in the real world when they leave home and try to get jobs and live adult lives is the sad part. They don't seem to even know what happens in the real world because they have been shielded from it all their lives. They are gonna have a lot of problems in the years ahead when its time to live in the real world.

Guys, if you want to learn more about Tom and Andreas methods of raising their kids and about how they view life and the world, there are two videos you might care to watch. They are on Tom's channel. The channel name is Tom Mills.

The first video is called - Violence: Good or evil?
This video was posted 4 years ago. This video explains why they do not limit or sensor the type or quantity of violent content that their kids watch online or in games. Tom also talks about his belief that women do not want "sensitive men" who cry or show their emotions. (Bit of a contradiction, as since he made that video 4 years ago he has done an awful lot of crying himself on YouTube). Tom believes that because there is so much graphic violence in the Bible, then their kids should be ok with that. Its ok for kids to watch violence according to Tom. But all sex content is banned. The kids are told to "don't look" if they are watching something and a scene with any sexual content comes on the screen. But if a scene with violence comes on, they are encouraged to watch it.

Tom shares his view that the "liberals" include a "homosexual" character in most movies now, so that society will view such things to be acceptable. I guess in Toms world, gay people are not acceptable. He certainly does not say that they are.

Also check out a comment written by Tom in reply to somebody in the comments section on that video. The question somebody asked was "How is it feminizing men if they are an idiot in a movie?". Tom replied to that question. Read his reply. Be prepared to throw up a little bit by what he wrote.

The second video is on Toms channel also and its called - Computer and internet guidelines for our family of 10.
He posted that 3 years ago.
The video explains how heavily they censor the monitor their kids internet usage. They control and check out what apps and sites their kids watch and they can see who watched what on what site and for how long.

My question is, how are those kids ever gonna live in the real world? How will they even know what happens in the real world if their lives have been so controlled from childhood to adulthood. The plan is to find Godly spouses for all of them. Then they get married and having a tonne of babies. Do they even know how babies are conceived? Do they even know that basic facts about sex and conception? They are not allowed to watch anything that has any kind of romantic or sexual content. But they can watch as much violence as they want to. Where is the sense in any of that?

Tom was addicted to porn and from what he has said, it took a pretty big toll on his life and continued right into his marriage. He is in control of that now and that'd good. He also assumes that even male in the world struggles with porn every day and will struggle with it every day of their lives. Nope. That is 100% not the case. I guess that is why they are obsessed with not allowing their kids any access to any kind of sexual content.

We are a Christian family and we raise our kids with a view to preparing them to survive and thrive in the real world. They have social skills and they know how to mix with other kids, to be responsible and to behave well. We educate them about right and wrong. We also educate them about life. Tom was bragging recently about how he and Andrea were raising their kids was the best way ever to raise kids. I don't agree. Keeping kids ignorant about the real world is not the best way to raise kids.

Toms argument is that watching graphic violence is a good thing and it does not mean that his kids will ever engage in violent acts. But he will not allow his kids to watch any sexual content. Doesn't the same argument apply? Watching content with sexual or romantic scenes will not make his kids sex or porn addicts.

I felt physically sick after I watched both videos. Advance warning.

You will learn a lot about how that family think and about their scary views on raising their kids.

I don’t know where to start with this video! So much junk and processed food. I know my husband would struggle in this situation, but he would insist on fruit, vegetables and meat. He said he couldn’t wait for turkey sandwiches and he didn’t by a turkey. He didn’t buy fish, chicken ground beef, etc. so much sugary cereal, yogurt, snacks. It’s just a mess. I feel so bad for Asher.he has to be mortified!

I just skimmed through a Live dinner from the 14th August, 2018 and actually very little has changed.

Tom scoffed down some pre-wrapped bought sandwich things and some crisps while everyone else, Andrea included, had ghoulash that she had made.

Solly didnt even attempt to eat his, neither did Sophia or Claudia or Justus. Claudia spilt her milk all over her tray and tried to clean it up herself because no-one noticed. Eventually, Andrea saw and she cleaned up the milk.

Tom, Asher and Judah each ate their own modest portions.

After a while, Andrea ate her own meal while the kids roamed free or coloured some drawings.

The older boys cleared the table, presumably throwing away all the wasted food while the parents talked to the camera.

They could have saved time and washing up if Andrea chucked the meal straight into the bin and let the kids continue playing on the various devices.

The video came up on my feed and I think it was good for me to see it because it showed me that, awful as Tom is, and he really is, he runs meals times in the same way as did Andrea and the food eaten by the kids seems to be no better now than previously. After all, if Andrea cooked a nutritious meal from scratch only for it to be left untouched, that's achieving nothing more than if Tom slings processed convenience food in front of the kids.

I think because they have always relied on processed food so much there is almost no point trying to give them something healthy now like when crazy eyes came in and started pushing “veggies” 🙄 bet they were never eaten either
Poor Eden is trying to be healthy then Tom buys a processed smoothie 🤦🏻‍♀️

My heart goes out to the Mills kiddos as they were in lockdown before there was a lockdown.
Kiddos NEED structure in their life, especially the younger ones. Just like they need bed time routines, socializing with peers their own age (sorry Tommy boy cousins don't count)and healthy food (hey Tommy boy check out the web site My Plate.org, if you're not sure what healthy means.)
You could save a lot of time not looking for hottie babes till you have better personal hygiene, no UTI'S, a larger house that is clean, and more money in the bank.
    Just sayin...

Asher is such a gentle soul. Handsome, responsible, caring young man. He needs his business back up and running, not care taker of his siblings. Andrea tried to prepare him the Christmas before she passed away. Set him up with everything he needs for his lawn care/snow plowing business to flourish. Why isn't his father encouraging him?

If Asher were to get busy with his customers, then Tom would lose his free babysitter. Oh I'm sorry let me give Tom the credit he deserves. Doesn't he pay those kids like a penny or a nickel a minute? :flcvoy01:

    Exactly.

If Asher were to be given the freedom to focus on just his school and the business he set up and loved, then he could maybe feel like a teenager for a little bit. He has been the free babysitter and housekeeper since Andrea passed away. He turns 17 years old this month.

If Tom paid a housekeeper to go in to that house even just two days every week to clean the house and do laundry it would make a major difference to all their lives. On those two days the housekeeper could also cook a dinner for the family. Use the crockpot and make a wholesome meal for everybody. The housekeeper could change and wash bed sheets too. Then Tommy boy would have more time and the pressure would be off of the kids a little bit and they could be kids. Folks have been suggesting that to him since Andrea passed. A local woman helped them out for a little while. I don't think he paid her though. I think she wanted to help them. On one of their live dinners during the summer somebody was suggesting getting a housekeeper to Tom during the live chat and he said he would. He looked at the camera and he said "Laura" or "Lauren" (I cant recall right now what he name was exactly)...if you're watching this you're welcome to come back any time.

I think she lived close by their house. He needs to pay somebody to go in there. He cant expect everybody else to do everything for him. He is 44 years old. He brought 9 kids into this world. His home is paid for so he can afford to spend some money to get some help in there to help keep the house clean and not have the kids doing everything.

The outside world is evil to Tom Mills. He's doing his kids a huge diservice by sheltering them too much. Don't get me wrong..of course they need to be taught that there are bad people that do bad things but how does he think they are going to make it out there when they are not experiencing anything outside of home? They need to learn people skills. It's so sad for them. Not sure how Thomas was able to learn people skills...I guess on his own. I'm sure he was awkward at first.

Because they aren't ever going to be "out there". As long as they live in their own little protected bubble they won't have to learn how to deal with the real world. That's what Tom and Andrea wanted. They didn't want to be part of the real world.

And you are right. Tom only believes his kids are safe under his rule, only he knows what is best, only he is the smartest, only he is in charge.
