Just did a quick read of a few websites talking about what makes an "influencer" (HATE the word!) successful. Consensus was it is not numbers, it is ENGAGEMENT with followers.
Since our Jen seems to misuse/misunderstand the word "connect" I suspect we can guess her level of engagement is not what one would need to become successful at this "career".. -

Seriously. I have an activity that I have done for close to 25 years. I have spent countless hours, thousands of dollars and so, so much hard work on it. I spend several hours 4-5 days a week on this activity, I plan vacations around this activity. Occasionally it even earns me money.
NOT A JOB.
I even have a side hustle business selling things I make. In some years, my business has actually grossed close to an actual, livable salary. But if I was tired of it, I could pull the plug today and it wouldn't matter to anyone but me.

Jen, ask yourself. Is the primary reason you are doing YouTube to earn enough money to support you and your family? Is earning money the primary goal of this activity? No? NOT A JOB.
