So...Don is taking the kids on Jen’s birthday evening and she doesn’t get to see Donny on his birthday? After doing basically the same thing for Christmas and Charlotte’s birthday? Tell me more about how you’re the best friend co-parents who have ever co-parented!

My son is close in age to Donny and I just can't imagine only seeing him 1/2 the time (and oooh boy is he a handful)
and I can't imagine him not seeing his Daddy all the time
How confusing must the divorce have been for Donny
I'm feeling sad for him today

Which makes me believe her narrative about them getting along fine is bullshit. If you had a decent relationship with your ex then you’d get together for the sake of the kids to celebrate together. They’ve already instilled that there will always be two separate households.

I can't imagine celebrating my son's bday in March without his mom. It may be difficult because of Covid but we're going to make this work.

It’s just coincidence that this year they both fell on a day of the week or a weekend when Don had them. Next year Don has the kids first week of Christmas and Jen gets the 2nd, so she’ll have CC on her bday, and probably have Donny on his as well because of how the schedule will shift.

CC having to ask where Daddy went goes down as one of their absolute worst joint parenting decisions. What the fuck, Jen and Don. They didn't even give themselves a chance to be like, wow, maybe adjusting to having kids is hard and marriages will often go through a difficult period as you adjust, but maybe we shouldn't have just brought two kids in the world and then quit to be hypersexual doms and Glennon Doyle's less attractive kid sister.
