Hi Jen, you are giving your kids the most miserable childhood that you possibly can. All they will remember of their life with you is a big empty, cold house, with horrible vegan food, eaten on a kitchen bench.
Their happy memories will all be with their Dad.
Talk to a proper therapist Jen - so you can work through why you are punishing your children for the failure of your marriage.
Your children are precious and you only get one chance at their childhood. Let Charlotte have your collection of dolls and their display stands, she will love it. Buy costumes that the kids will enjoy - life isn't about being Disney Princess as you now know. Let them be pirates, builders, wizards. Do some online shopping with your kids. Buy what they like. We know that Donny isn't choosing a princess costume - he has no choice.
Jen, if you don't stop punishing your kids they will resent you and you will end up totally alone and bitter. Your parents are elderly, your in-laws have ditched you and you have no friends and very little capability of making any. You need your kids to live any sort of life. You have no life outside of your children now. Make this life a happy and joyful one. You are not spoiling your kids by giving them happiness.
Rant over. Triggered by poor Donny with no dress up costumes to choose from, only another princess cast-off. While his Mum buys as much unnecessary crap for herself, like books she will never read or put on a bookshelf!
