My family tells me how amazing dinner is, without me asking. I do the same if someone else has cooked. Cooking is hard work and cooks need to get recognized. Jen on the other hand, wants head pats for breathing.

Why would anyone even ask that for a meal they make all the time? Trying a new dish, sure, you ask if they like it. But something you make all the time?? Screaming for head pats.

Okay, speaking as the girl who eats keto while the rest of the family gets to have carbs, because if I eat carbs I just can’t stop eating and this is the only way to keep me from type 2 diabetes and obesity (both of which I landed close to about two months after the pandemic really kicked in.)
Anyway, taco night happens at our house. I obviously can’t have the shells/tortilla. So I do a bunch of lettuce, then toppings, with salsa as the “dressing.” Because it’s possible to make something that works for everyone with just a few modifications.
There’s also a really good recipe for sweet potato burritos on Allrecipes that I do with sweet potatoes and black beans as enchiladas (you know how people put their modifications in the comments...) so I’m not anti-sweet potato+black beans as a combination.
But sweet potatoes, black beans, and BROCCOLI? With no seasoning or sauce or anything?
Especially after posting some body positivity nonsense today?

 Nothing about this plate of food looks appetizing. I am all about eating a balanced diet, but this plate of food just makes me think she will be spending a lot of time in the bathroom later. That’s a lot of fiber for one meal. 😬🤢

Eww that "meal" looks so gross. I just can't deal with her food choices.
It's all SOFT foods too.

You're both wiser than me. I online shop, and it's such a pain to package things up and return things, that I often don't unless it is an expensive item.
