So I follow a couple of child nutritionists on IG and they’re pretty lenient about most things, particularly considering we’re in a pandemic and most people are doing the best that they can, but even they’re firm on TV while eating is a no-no. Some nights when you’re about to rip your hair out from stress/work/parenting overload it’s fine to occasionally punt your offspring to the living room with frozen chicken nuggets to save your sanity, but this whole both kids on an iPad during every meal thing has me raising my eyebrows. Idk, I’m just so baffled that Jen doesn’t seem to give a shit that she’s passing on her unhealthy attitude towards food on her kids. It’s clear that she recognizes in some moments that she’s a prisoner to her disordered thoughts on eating, so why then does that fear not extend towards making sure her kids don’t have those demons, too? . -
