I am late to reply on the New Hampton's vlog, but omg when I watched it back in the day I didn't notice how bitchy she sounded to her MIL and FIL!! So selfish of her to prepare this meal only to herself and not asking the others if they would want some too, and when Suz talked about trying it out she immediately had to say it's only for her. Gosh, I would be so embarrassed, after she pigged out all those years in their family feasts on food Don and Suz made. And telling Poopsie that "I didn't like touching raw meat, and now I don't have to!" - bitch please, you didn't have to all those years because Don cooked for you all the time, the only time you touched something was to show how you know to put a turkey in a pan. Also a normal mom wouldn't say that "now she doesn't have to" touch raw meat because she has children who eat meat.. But again it's Jen. It's SO OBVIOUS that Poopsie was like "yikes" when she said it..
I used to live across the street from an older lady who was a doll collector- she had a room for them with floor to ceiling shelves. But they were TRUE collectible dolls, dating back to the 1920’s at least. Museum quality. Not the girl of the year with her accessories. I’m not hating on American Girl, I still have my Samantha but they aren’t the same as when I was little and it was just a catalog. I can’t imagine how much time she spent changing out their scenes and accessories.
Nothing wrong with collecting dolls in itself. The thing is that people who are often into this stuff are very... peculiar. And Jen happens to fall into that category. I personally love miniatures, so I can't call anyone weird for liking dolls lol
She did mention on one of the recent Vlogmas videos that she had American Dolls since she was a kid, but that she started buying the doll of the year some years ago, when she was an adult.
Do we know what happened to the dolls? Did she get rid of them when someone said they were weird to her face or did she just hide them in the garage? Because if they are still there and she's clearing RM1 we can still hope she will embrace her weirdness, take them out, dress them appropriately for the season and do something (she needs YT content, she has an empty house and a daughter lol)

I don’t think doll collecting is weird. Why do people collect art if not just as something pleasant to look at? If people want to display the ever-watching soulless eyes of dolls why the heck not. But, and much likes bertha’s it’s a big but, I do think not letting your own children play with them is weird. Especially given theyre not especially rare or valuable dolls. It’s not original Barbies we’re talking here. I’m hardly surprised though, she didn’t plan on keeping the snoopy things for Charlotte or any of her jewellery. It’s better to work through the emotions you have attached to these objects instead of selling them on and pretending 16 years of your life didn’t happen.
For me it's not the doll collecting itself that's the issue but the sheer number of "things" she bought for the dolls. All of the clothes, accessories, and the uber expensive set pieces and extras are the things that I find to be ridiculously over the top. I once read that Demi Moore collects (or collected) Madame Alexander dolls but I'm pretty sure that Jen's AG collection would put Demi's collection to shame.
I think analyzing Jen's neuroses & constant purchasing of "all the things" whenever she has a new obsession would a fuel psychiatrist's wet dream.
