My grandmother gave me her old Corelle dishes when I got my first apartment, and 20 years later I still use them. She was just in the mood for new dishes, not reeling from a dramatic divorce where she was working hard to completely erase all reminders of her pre-divorce life.
I’m to the point where I genuinely would not be shocked if Jen announced that it’s just too painful to have any visitation with the kids because they remind her too much of her old life, so in the spirit of being gentle with herself she’s going to let them go.. -

IT TOOK HER A YEAR TO EMPTY HER KITCHEN CABINETS!!! She is insane. I bet she is positively burning up over Don leaving her with all this work, she will never get over it.
It took her a year and would’ve taken longer if the house had stayed on the market. She only got around to doing it because she has no choice.
She could’ve brought up the labor of dealing with the house crap in mediation, since he just left everything. But for all we know, she did, and just procrastinated on actually doing it. Maybe she got the DVC in exchange for dealing with the kitchen stuff and his DVD collection.
If she ebays it, she’ll make a lot of money, but she’ll have to deal with packing it and shipping it individually, since it’s highly unlikely anyone will buy the entire set. Ebay buyers aren’t interested in delays in shipping due to being gentle with yourself.. -
