That video appears to have been July 12, not June 12. Don mentions carrots left over from 4th of July. Also 7/12 was a Friday, 6/12 was not.
Anywho…. Guess Jen did not like her date night feast that Don prepared. She showed the dinner on the table and then next cut is her beloved Winnie. No mention of how dinner was.

Well, Don was getting quite a bit of attention for his cooking videos and people (Jen's fans) really liked them. I think she started getting pissy about it, because he was making it look so easy and natural.

Silence and peppermint tea said it all. Don was passive-aggressively gunning for delicate Jen’s stomach with all that garlic.

Oh the TGIF. I hate it so much coming from someone that did nothing all week long.

Peppermint Tea = cock block
My stummy hurts Don.
Also, why does he always cook for 4? That was an insane amount of pasta for 2 people who already had a big protein portion?
I’m not familiar with the chef he was channeling, but were there not measurements for the whole recipe? Should have added more broth? Ya think? Or maybe cut the pasta portion in half to accommodate the sauce you did have?

Why would you interpret that as passive aggressive - he presumably wants Jen to “take good care of him” so giving her an excuse to not feel well is not in his interests.

I think that was more of a cooking techniques book than a precise recipe book. It didn’t look all that great to me. I noticed he experiments a lot even when making something the first time. He did it with the BBQ sauces, limeade etc. I do too but usually the first time I follow the recipe and then adjust for seasonings at the end. Second time etc I definitely adjust or maybe add/leave out an ingredient etc.

That’s how I cook too: follow exact (except obvious over or under salt) and tweak the next time if we agree it’s worth trying again.
I always forget that she actually does eat leftovers. She seems the type to ask for a box at a restaurant than conveniently leave it on the table

She let Winnie lick her finger, then didn't wash her hands. Am I the only one grossed out by that? I loosely follow recipes. By loosely, I mean I rarely measure things. It drives my husband crazy because when he really loves what I cooked, he knows I'll never remember if I put in 3 shakes of cumin or 2 shakes of cumin

Something about him cooking that meal reminded me so much about the crap my mom did. I have stomach issues, my entire life, and she would cook dinner just for the two of us and basically fix a meal she knew would make me sick as hell. I digress. More than likely, it triggered events in my past, but if that dumb-shit cooked that meal after listening to her whine for years about her digestive issues, well, cock block he got. She bitches when the sun doesn’t shine up her ass, so who knows. I hope this shed some light on what my thinking is about him being passive aggressive. Damn, that was a lot.

I want to slap the 💩 out of her every time she says she slept in until 7. Getting up early does not make you special. Especially when you do it to avoid your spouse or to start a five-hour exercise ritual. Nobody cares about Jen’s sleep schedule. Except maybe Don. And he got tired of her antics.

She slept until 7 because the party animals went to bed at midnight. They usually went to bed around 10 so she got her same 7 hours she always gets.
I thought Jen claimed to only have digestive issues with dairy. Does she have issues with peppers too? I feel like she even eats peppers raw? (Which I personally never could do.)
The only thing I can think of in that recipe that could bloat her would be the high fiber pasta.
But Master Chef Don cooking rare steaks before he even started cooking the pasta is laughable. Why on earth was he surprised they would be done first? I also chuckled at him just learning what mirepoix is. He had to know what it was just never knew it’s name? If even I know, then Foodie Don should have…
