I agree, the Ross's aren't cruel and would probably feel guilty getting her alimony pulled. Unless, they were totally pissed off about the way she gaslight the children's father and implied that he abused her...plus doing the absolute minimum caring for them. I could see them going from being done with her (which they obviously were) to "stick it to her".
