I do my best not to buy most years buts it’s always the clearance rolls at Walmart that get me.

I keep a list in my phone of Christmas decor etc I need to replace. My list even says “for the Love of God stop buying wrapping paper” to try to stop myself

My biggest problem is the vintagy-looking paper at Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I have way too many. We never gave a specific paper to a certain person, everything was always all mixed up. The thrill of the hunt. lol

Marriage is hard, but divorce is also hard. I think Jen didn’t account for that.

I bought 20 jumbo rolls of Santa paper Bangle Junior’s first Christmas. Santa used that same paper every single year. I think I was finally through all of it when he was 14 (and long stopped believing).

I can absolutely relate to Jen and her wrapping paper addiction. I love buying Christmas paper.

I love this!! Not me heading to Amazon now to order Santa Claus wrapping paper :woot:

ETA: Okay I am now looking at a more sustainable option, Santa sacks. Mostly becauseI don’t want to explain to Mr SingHo why, as we are on the verge of moving house, I am ordering 20 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper :snickering:

Just remember to print the labels. I figured out Santa by realizing he had the same handwriting as my Mom :shaking_head_smiley_emoticon:

I learned there's no Santa when I found the rolls of Santa wrap in my parent's closet. So hide your wrapping paper!

She was such a bitch to Winnie at the beginning of that video. Poor dog can't even walk around in peace for two seconds. That's exactly how I imagine her as a parent, very short and terse when she's even slightly annoyed.

That too! That paper was well hidden and not with the rest of my paper.

Once Bangle Jr knew, he wanted allllllllll of those details. I guess we bought an extra year of him believing because we covered our tracks so well.

Umm.. you are supposed to put color coded sticky notes on each bin, with lists of what you need to buy for the next year. Like cocktail napkins and lights and candles, etc.

I used to do this too.
    :sorry_smiley:

But now if it’s in my phone, it’s always with me as I shop.

I make the list as I pack the holiday up for the year so Unlike Jen, I don’t have 400 paper plates and no napkins (it’s like she deliberately ignored those lists she made).

I do what my mom did, save some of this year's used paper to wrap next year's stocking gifts. She did it to be frugal, I did it because it's cool to see last year's paper. My husband never had wrapped presents in his stockings.... his mom just put them in unwrapped.

That video... was her rack more impressive back in the day or is just the wearing of teeny tiny shirts? Maybe now it's just hidden under sports bras and hoodies. The rack sure wasn't caged back then.

When I put the Christmas stuff away I make a running list of what I do and do not need next year - tags, ribbon, Christmas napkins etc. We still have a wall calendar so I put the sticky on the last page of the new calendar. I also have a small/thin Christmas binder that I pull out from year to year.

I’m no Jen, but these things do help me a little bit each year to not get overwhelmed.
