Yep, she walked a ton of it. Taking over 15 minutes to cover a mile when you're actively running is pretty much not a thing; she was walking. And not even a hustle-walk. Disney races are expensive. Can't believe she shelled out a bunch of money to basically hobble through a race.

Yes. 4mph is a really brisk walking pace. And if you’re really hustling, you can walk maybe 4.5mph before you literally have to start jogging.

I like that she apparently hemmed and hawed for ages over getting a peloton because of the price (2K) but then shells out for the Disney race fee, flights, and hotel to do ONE athletic activity. Which she did not very athletic-ly.

She paid the money to brag she ran both races, most Jenions won’t look at the results. Plus she got TWO! Medals, one at the end of each race. There are real marathoners who may run the half to keep up training. They are not stopping along the route to get pictures with the characters, they are not smiling like maniacs and air drumming for the cameras, they are serious runners. They may take their family with them to enjoy the parks after, but not Gene. I hope she gets dragged again today, all those who posted yesterday will have been blocked so hopefully they have a few more burner accounts.

Guys, it's our fault she did so badly. She was up all night, making notes about the scolding to come, so she didn't sleep and wasn't at her best.

Gene has been running for years, has a treadmill in her house and a Peloton subscription with hundreds of running classes. Managing to get a time this terrible is a special skill. Way to go, Big Bertha! Now treat yourself to a Mickey waffle!

Being serious, though. She must have really hurt herself yesterday and it showed with her half-marathon today. I can't imagine the pain of her bunion after one race, and then try to do another one today.
