to me 800k for a house is the norm if not a bit cheaper than what I see around me, but I live in Southern California. I see nothing wrong with anyone spending that HOWEVER in her case I don't get the need for a house that size. Jen has zero friends and the only family she has are her parents, and the kids are only with her part time. There will be no large family holidays. tbh I can't see her doing anything like fun birthday parties or hosting any kind of kids/parents gatherings ever.
So far she has made zero effort to live in her real life, she lives on Social Media, her best friends are her camera and Winnie. imagine her having a friendsgiving , it would be a bunch of her cameras set up on tripods and Winnie being forced to be her emotional support.
I think the house was a mistake because there is no need for that size of a home. Jen doesn't want Don to one up her so she got this house to continue to play at being a 1%er haha 🙄
The house was a mistake. just by looking at how little she has made an effort to create a nice living environment for herself and her kids, she is never there when the kids aren't there so what is the point, get a condo and a van so you can be a part time van lifer...or is that not the persona she is doing this week?. -

.Jen wanted that big house because she wanted to make sure she got hers. She saw the price tag of RM 1.0 at the time and said I will spend half. That’s mine! It was quite funny when RM 1.0 sold for much less than the original price and I’m sure Don made sure the fees and staging costs were deducted as well.
I saw so many less-expensive houses at the time that were so much nicer and cuter and cozier.

If my identity was wanderer and story sharer like she believes hers is, I would have gone very low maintenance on housing. A yard for the kids and bedrooms but if the moment they were gone I was too, I don't need entertainment space, or a ginormous basement for my own gym. A small extra bedroom maybe.
I don't think when Jen bought the house she had this in mind. I think she was just wanting an RM 2.0 minus wayward socks and MIL's decorating. It wasn't long after than she started dreaming of van life and tiny homes. She also mentioned the extra closet possibly going for someone else (hinting she had full on plans of snagging a Mr. Ross2.0) I'm pretty sure if she was in the headspace she is in now she might have embraced a smaller, manageable and practical space. Maybe. Until Ross Family 2.0 got that huge place with a pool then she might have to compete.. -
