It blows my mind how commonplace filters have become in the last decade. I rarely see anyone post anything on their story that doesn't automatically have their skin blurred to oblivion.
It makes me sad and gives me secondhand embarrassment.. -

Same here. It makes me mad too, like anything less than a real representation of one's self is unacceptable. I really don't like social media and the prevalence of filters, even on video now and not just stills, makes it worse. It was decades ago when I first learned about airbrushing in magazines but it's worse now that everyone has the ability to do it. Nothing is as it seems.
ETA: There's a difference between editing a photo like professionals do, and wholly & intentionally misrepresenting yourself by filtering into oblivion.

One of my new favorite You-Tubers is Mav, a young guy who travels, camps, fishes and just generally loves the outdoors.
Something about his demeanor and positive attitude really appeals to me. And he did this very insightful video about being an introvert why he usually camps and travels alone. He does such an effective job of explaining it, and how just one positive interaction (say with a stranger at a truck stop diner) can fulfill his need to have human contact. But big events or family get-togethers where he has to be "on" all the time are overwhelming.
I love his statement..."Isn't that's what family is all about, to cause you immense joy and immense turmoil, all at the same time?"
He talks about mental health, but not the "me time" journey process embrace word-of-the-year lean into crap that Jen does.
Well, anyways, I found him to be the the Anti-Jen. He embraces nature and camping and solitude, but doesn't use it as an escape from life. Oh, and his adventures ice fishing and fixing up his camper are so much fun to watch.

3, Monday - kids back at SK - receive rapid tests as part of IL Test to Stay program.
DKRIV exposed at school (assumed)
4, Tuesday - DKRIV contagious, probably. Rapid tests come back negative.
5, Wednesday - Jen drops off kids at SK, boards flight to FL. Does not get a covid test beforehand (per manic Live).
Kids take second rapid test because other SK inmates tested positive (as part of Test to Stay). Therefore Jen KNOWS the kids have been exposed and should assume she has been exposed.
6, Thursday -
AM:
Disney race #1
Kids' rapid tests come back negative
PM:
DKRIV sick. Don texts Jen that he will be keeping the kids home from school the next day.
At some point Don administers another rapid test, it comes back negative (as Jen points out, DKRIV has had three negative rapid tests in a week.)
7, Friday - Disney race #2
Charlotte is likely contagious.
8, Saturday - Don takes DKRIV to pediatrician with croup. PCR test performed. His fever and croup clear up with treatment.
Meanwhile Jen does race #3.

9, Sunday - Charlotte sick - fever, croup, etc. (From stories: "so up until sunday when i heard from their dad kind of mid actually after the marathon was over the last part of the race um i didn't even know she was ill at that point." So what was it Jen - mid-marathon, after the marathon, or the last part of the marathon?

Disney race #4:
10, Monday - DKRIV's PCR test comes back positive. Jen gets the news as she's sitting on a plane waiting for takeoff.
Returns home and SCOOPS UP the kids (why????? Leave them where they're comfortable you asshole.)
11, Tuesday - Jen said something weird about a positive test Tuesday evening. I assume she meant Charlotte received a positive result.
12, Wednesday - IG post about immunity tea and veggies #entry454989356
Meanwhile DKRIV is fully recovered and Charlotte is on the mend.
14, Friday - Jen posts first covid rapid test. Followed up with IG stories blaming Don (they were HEALTHY when she dropped them off and boarded a plane without knowing her covid status). #entry455595420

Lies about wearing a mask during the crowded parts of the races.
Two theories:
1- Jen had asymptomatic covid and was infected around the same time Charlotte was - therefore she was contagious as she was running her numerous races.
2- Jen's part-time babysitting schedule helped her avoid the kids at their most contagious, and she actually managed to avoid getting infected via the kids AND Disney. Shot in the ass with luck, indeed.
In any case: it was irresponsible for her to board her flight to Orlando knowing the kids had been exposed at the SK.
DO BETTER JEN.
If the children did have it first they are infectious 3 days before falling ill and 2 days after.
Just been reading up on it.
So that means Jen was a carrier to Disney. She certainly didn't have it since she would not have been able to run/hobble.. -

A very simple Goog would show that the Oura ring has TERRIBLE reviews. The ring doesn't work and, apparently, the company just doesn't give a f*ck... People have been filing complaints with the BBB and FTC.
