I’m sure she could have bought out his share but why pay all the extra to live on a golf course?
The kids were so very young that they won’t much remember that house except through videos. Donny especially won’t.
Plus, Jen said it never felt like her house. 🙄
Seriously, I can see why she would want a fresh start.

QUOTE (WutJen @ 14/3/2022, 13:34) I just don't get it, why couldn't she stay in RM1?
To me, the move doesnt make sense... My SIL had to pay her ex half the value of their home when she stayed
That’s why Plus Jen didnt want the memories

I absolutely see the need and desire for a fresh start. I just don’t necessarily believe Jen wanted one. I think she wasn’t willing to pay Don his half. She assumed (in her most entitled Jen way) that she’d just get to keep and stay in the house. Count that as one of the first curveballs, if you will

She wanted the same settlement amount that she got, without paying Don for RM1. She wanted it given to her free and clear.

A complete betrayal! She has to buy his half of the house???
Seriously though, she closed on RM2 on 2/8, meaning she came home from Utah, filed for divorce, went HH for a week in January and bought a house on impulse, as if it were just another purse.

QUOTE (ColdOne @ 3/14/2022, 07:31 AM) I bet those kids have never had a play date on Warden Jen’s time other than with Grace & Theo Definitely not, which is why I mentioned it. I'm sure parents at the school talk amongst themselves: "contact Don or Tens to arrange a playdate, not that weirdo Jennifer he left"

It was the most rushed home purchase. Someone was throwing a major temper tantrum.
She wanted divorced fast, and Covid came along and made it take so much longer than it probably needed to. And had she not rushed the home buy, she would’ve had time to look around for something that suited them better. From a better mental state.
I also tend to think she’s bitter because she bought really close to the school (I think more for optics than anything else, as if it would give her a leg up for custody) and close to the Rosses (who have now abandoned her) and the house Tensleigh got is further out of town. With trees.

All caught up. Thank you to the mods for stopping the annoyance.
Delta is right about Laken's dress. It looked like it cost $75.

They were divorced in 10 months from filing. Particularly given the assets involved, I think that’s pretty fast. I don’t feel like the pandemic slowed it down too much. Maybe a month or two but really, I think 10 months is pretty good.

I like to think that Don already had all the paper work prepared and ready to go he was just waiting for the right time. I choose to believe that he gave her a single page of the paperwork each day for advent à la vlogidays of yore.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I want a divorce, adieu to you.

Regarding her rush to buy, I 100% think she thought that would wake Don up, he would beg her to reconcile, they would stay in RM1 and sell RM2 to recoup their money. Even after she moved in, I think she thought that they would move back in there, up until she went to Utah in the RV and tried and failed to seduce him.

I think the biggest obstacle was probably the parenting classes (because of COVID).
My question of the day: since they have joint custody, once the kids transition to public school, which district will they be enrolled in? Both parents live in excellent ones but I believe Don is in nationally ranked Stevenson HS?

For the kids' sake I hope they get to stay with the real Ross household more and go to school in their district. Jen can still pretend to have the same custody arrangement to save face.
